A personal question of the female nature...

You figure out your date and you realise that on the big night... that annoying woman from the tampax advert is going to attend your wedding do.

Or like me that darn woman turns up when she pleases, no set days, no rhyme or reason.

Just had some bloods done and i am still not on the ahem 'change' although you tell my body to stop behaving like this, it isn't pre wedding stress, been like this a few years now.

I was a few years ago offered depo injection, which took so many months to sort it's self out that by the time june comes, god know what could be happening. (I had it as to not upset a holiday i was having with my son, and yes day 2 she arrived with her suitcase)

So ladies if you have that annoying woman due around the big day, what are you doing to make sure she isn't invited and stays away.

Mine isn't due on my big day but with my days all over the place, it would just be my luck that she would be hovering around.

oh heck my love, I think the only way would be to get preggie before-hand. A bit drastic tho' :rotfl::rotfl:

I think this is probably something you need to discuss with your GP.
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)
  • i'm just going to continue taking my pill and not leave a gap when Aunt Irma should arrive and miss it out
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..
  • I'm fairly sure that there's a drug your GP can prescribe to delay Auntie Flo. :)

Have you tried the pill? Sometimes i carry on taking mine as to skip a period (unhealthy i know) so i presume it can help make sure you dont come on on your big day

Haha i can't get preggers i got sterlised a good 10 years ago, I am not on anything to stop Aunty Irma (have you been watching the I.T. crowd :) )

Doctor wouldn't let me have the pill a few years ago because i am a smoker, although my bp was ok, i might be a few pounds bigger than the national average.

I wonder if they will allow me to use it on a short term basis. Hen weekend at the beginning of June, she is due then, but she could turn up when she feels like it. 4 days early this month (yesterday) so you can imagine if we carry on that path by June she will be due at the wedding.

If you are normally very irregular, GP may be a little reluctant to prescribe anything to upset your system further.

i dont think people should turn up if they arent invited how rude

as for the ""lady"" problem my gf takes tranexamic acid and that usually shortens the problem (from a week to a few days ) she got them from the doctor

There is something you can get from the GP but I think it depends on you knowing when your period is due so you can start taking it at the right time, if you're irregular that might be more difficult. I usually live in the 'waiting for a proposal' thread so I don't have these worries yet (boo :( ) but as others have said I'd just run two packs of the pill together to avoid having it. Can you think about going on the pill to do the same?

Would it be a real problem if it did happen? Could you maybe use a light pad or tampax just in case? I am due around our wedding but after being with h2b for 8 years I figure he knows when I am due better than me!
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
