ING have again increased the bonus rate on their Direct Savings Account. Now paying 3.24% AER (3.19% gross p.a.) variable including a 2.69% gross p.a. bonus fixed for 12 months.

I had spotted that Moneyfacts had announced this change and thought that it was old news. As Buffman previously announced it had recently been increased to 3.19% AER and I had not spotted the difference between AER and Gross.0

Barnsley BS have launched similar product 3.55% to 31 July 2013, and Chelsea BS to 31 August 2013.
Be careful with large deposits as they are both part of the Yorkshire BS group and subject to a single FSCS compensation guarantee.

Balances of £20,000 or more 3.07% (inc 2.57% fixed bonus for 12 months)
"After 12 months the variable rate without bonus will apply, currently 0.50%". But the variable rate seems to be 0.70% for balances under £20,000!
