This is a bond, not a savings account?0 -
Fixed rate / Fixed term savings accounts are commonly referred to as "bonds". They have FSCS protection like any other savings accounts - unlike corporate bonds which are investments.0

This account isn't well reported, and the flexibility isn't well advertised and I couldn't see it on their webby but you phone in and get T&Cs and confirmation the following by email:
A) You can withdraw funds (but must close the account) on an anniversary date without penalty...... but you can open multiple accounts thereby closing one or two etc, and leave the others to run to maturity or next anniversary.
c) Note though if you need access to funds between anniversaries you'd lose the interest for the elapsed part of the year in which the w/d is made.

This was available upto yesterday (Friday 29th) as I opened my 3rd bond - they call Premium Product - and may be only available to existing maturing bond holders, existing customers etc. I'm unsure if still available to the wider public due to the clunkiness of their info. Be quick if you are interested.0 -

ReGive 5% 1 year fix - 60 day notice penalty free!
"Incorporated and registered with the UK Financial Services Authority. FSA Registered No: 31497R (IPS BenCom). HMRC EIS Advance Assurance"
Take care with this; seems exciting and almost too good to be true...
It says its FSA regulated on the home page (above) but is apparently operating under exemptions which means it depositors ARE NOT PROTECTED UNDER FSCS - buried under 'more' in the tabs at the top.
http://www.regive.org.uk/fscs.html
"Due to the FSA and other regulatory exemptions, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) and the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) does not apply to the Re-Give savings bond. Therefore, you should not consider this as a protected savings scheme. Please seek appropriate advice if you are unsure. Please also be aware that Re-Give does not provide investment advice".
Bit naughty is that...!
Not saying its risky -I dont know - just not upfront with its facts.. beware if you want FSCS protection - if not, fine.0
