Anyone tried to claim from Everyday Loans?

My argument is still that I was mis-sold PPI. Regardless of how good the value of it is, I didn't want it but was told that I needed it to get the loan!
Surely scr007 you are not saying that Everyday Loans is right to enforce PPI on a customer because it is 'good value'.
And most victories I know about on 1st hand experience, none of them remember what was said/happened but have still won.
I am pushing for their answer now, the deadline date is next Tuesday, so we will soon find out.
If they don't uphold the complaint then I am off to the ombudsman, as it is not fair when a company tells you that without PPI you wont get the loan, and when you need the money you will sign where you are told!0 -
Well the deadline for Everyday loans is tomorrow, and I was told last week they are working on my case so we should have an update shortly.0

Response from Everyday loans. They are not upholding the complaint (sort of expected!) so I am just now waiting for the letter explaining why, and preparing my case for the ombudsman.0

OK, so I got my response from Everyday loans and I have decided not to pursue my claim, as I think it would be a tough battle looking at what information they hold!
So for anyone trying, I would just say that they gathered a lot of information from when I signed up that they will use.0 -
So, I take it you got five pages of explanations telling you why they aren't giving you it back?0

Wait for the 8 weeks, when they send you the response, post on here if it is a rejection,i will tell you what to do next.
Then we will see how "tight his paperwork is" :rotfl:
Paperwork only shows the ppi that you ticked the box and signed for,it does not account for a salesperson getting you to buy this,or the patter (lies) that he gives you to make you sign.
Have i answered this post before?"tight paperwork" rings a bell :rotfl:
Hi Guys,
Just came across your posts on a google search.
I went to everyday loans in quite a desperate situation, i needed a car for work after my car broke down, had a good monthly salary, but terrible credit rating. They took me for a mug tbh with the APR but i had no other option.
I remember on the day the sales man word for work saying 'It was unlikely that i would be accepted for the loan without the PPI'
Ive sent off my letter of complaint and received a letter back 8 weeks later saying they had looked into the issue and refused to pay back any money. They state that no body at Everyday Loans would ever state that PPI was compulsory and was against company policy to do so, they also said i had signed all the paperwork. (Which i did at the time, thinking it was necessary)
Ive replied back via post saying i would like to take my complaint forward and explained the above situation with the sales man.
But im not sure what to do next or what to send to the Finical Service Ombudsman.
Anyone that could give me any help or advice would be great.
Its over £700 on a £2500 loan paying back in total over £5000 in 24 months.
Thanks

I've gone to the ombudsman but, I haven't heard anything yet.0

They've just sent me a letter saying that all my paperwork is in order. It's going to be a long haul, I expect.0

That means their paperwork shows no wrong doing and it means your complaint is likely an unprovable allegation. What evidence do you have to support your allegations? Get that ready now for when the FOS ask you to support your allegations.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
