finally got my Hunger Games polishes (*squeel*). Now wearing harvest moon with luxe and lush on top. Very excited about how ace my talons look!As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0

I have ordered NYC Ballet from Opi - I have had the release date in my diary for months (how sad is that)
This will be my first premium polish, most of mine are mutts from pound shop or superdrug.
Today i am sporting mint green with tiny white polka dots. I am practicing dotting to gain a steady hand.
Next i need some decent stamping plates as the ones gifted to me were ok to cut my teeth on... but you cant do alot with a set of 'hello kitty' plates. not at my age. lolPlease note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -

Have just had a look at these. Your colours look lovely. I also like the look of Smoke and Ashes and Stone Cold. May keep an eye out on buyapowa for these.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Ha ha ha ha ha, I love hello kitty! was looking at some pink hello kitty stickers the other day.
One day, I will get the guts to fly to Japan and go to Hello kitty world.
On another note, what do you use for your dotting?0 -

I have a UV top coat that I could use but I think Seche is thicker than the one I have so I was thinking of using that instead unless you think that'd be a problem? I've used nail art glitter from Special FX with their top coat in the past without issue (other than removal of course).
No, the polishes will be more than fine to use. The wear compared like for like with hybrids and some other gel colour coats will be, obviously, slightly reduced but they will certainly hold the glitter in place
ETA: I do base coat, two colour coats, glitter with two top coats. The double top coat helps prevent the glitter from sticking through which could encourage biting and nibbling. That is the same whether polish or shellac.0 -
I painted my nails this morning in Revlons Emerald City and for a Revlon fan I have to say I'm not very impressed
It isn't particularly matte, the application isn't great and the tips are wearing already.0 -

Yes, doing the gloves for housework and gardening, got the hard as wraps today.
I am not sure how long it takes a nail to grow throught from cuticle to tip, but I have some health problems including absorbtion of nutrients, and I believe the state of my nails today reflects my poor state of health ?? weeks/months ago. It is an ongoing situation which crops up periodically, but has not been this bad for a long time. My nail polish buying happens in fits and starts, I buy much more when my nails are good. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
