thanks, polka dots was how I got into the nail art. I tried to do them one day, and it looked awful. Went to my hair dresser and she had polka dots and suggested i get a nail art pen. I did, and loved it. But then my hubbies auntie suggested i get some dotting tools, and now I am here, and loving it!
  • Another tip I picked up for polka dots (if you've not got a dotting tool)...dressmaking pins. The plastic blob at the end is perfect for doing dots.

Did you hear the screams of frustration?

    I really don't understand why I can't do marbling.

I have the water at room temp, and have tried 6 different brands of polish.

All that happens is that either the blobs sink to the bottom, or the first 2 colours make rings and then the following drops don't spread out.

What am I doing wrong???? :wall:

When my rings wouldn't spread I found I needed to do it quicker

    oooh eerr missus

My problem isn't that bit, its getting it onto my nail without it coming out like a dogs dinner, and making sure i pick the same colours for every nail. While I am messing about I often find I add different colours for no reason at all.

    Hiya,

I am a new nail fanatic. Just discovered Konad a week ago thanks to youtube videos and now Im addicted. Because Konad is quite expensive I ended up with the fauxnad plates by Bundle Monster and got the plates with 25 designs. Its a bit of trial and error when it comes to stamping nail polishes. I just use regular polishes to stamp, some work better than the others. already ive amass 7 new nail polishes to play with. damn nail stamping for making a hole in my wallet. the only excuse is that they are all cheap =). you girls must check out Sally Hansen HD nail polishes from poundland. I got Blu and Spectrum. If you like metallic teal color you will love Spectrum. looking at the color makes me happy :rotfl:
