    Its worth a go.

I really want to make marbling work. I have tried it once, but got in a mess and ended up with just loads of skanky wet sellotape and odd looking nails

Ha ha. It can be a bit messy but I think it's worth it. For technique, have a look at this channel on youtube...

Her videos are great, that's how I got going with water marbling.

Amanita...3 breaks in one go...ouch...if that'd been me the whole country would have heard my cry of anguish. Is that a Barry M croc effect I spy in today's haul?

I didn't notice at the time.....too scared I was going to slide off the snow covered rocks and break my neck! And yes , well spotted that is indeed the Barry M croc.
  • Finally got my pics up. Main colour is China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald - can't really see the glitter flecks. The accent is Chanel Peridot

I think I may dig my plates out this weekend and do some stamping - I have all the Bundle Monster ones and they're fine - the newer ones have backing so you don't cut yourself to ribbons

Elise that looks so lovely! I was tempted by Chanel Peridot when it was on Buyapowa a couple of weeks ago, but resisted :(

Re: stamping plates. I have a Konad one with the stamp & scraper, and my sister has a set (can't remember which brand) that she bought at the Vitality Show a couple of years ago, so I might dig them out to try. The Cheeky ones Lady S linked to is no longer available though (it was going to go from wishlist to basket in a moment of weakness last night). The Bundle Monster ones all seem to have very positive reviews too.

Adela Where did you buy the Zoya from?

I'm planning on having another go at water marbling later today...watching SimpleLittlePleasures's videos has given me an excuse to use up the polishes that I hardly use.

I've tried it a couple of times and it ended up a disaster. :o

I will have a go at the weekend. It is the sellotape bit I don't like, I feel like a duck with webbed fingers!

At the moment I am wearing:
Andrea Fulerton in Jessica (red) on my toes
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Love In Bloom on my fingers

I love that Sally Hansen polish... its pink glitter and I use it when my nails need a break from polish - I've found that this strengthens them and prevents breakages. I don't like having bare nails because 1. They don't look nice and 2. They break easily. Oh and it was from poundland so only a quid! Have seen it on Fragrance Direct for £1.50, worth it though.
