This thread is just plain dangerous.

I happened to be in the town at lunch time and thought I'd have a quick look in Boots. Well they had Bourjois on a 3 for 2 promotion ( love the Bourjois colours even if the brush is horrid) so of course I had to pick up 3.

I was then passing Superdrug and just popped in to have a look. Oh dear, another 4 colours begged to come home with me and I'm very softhearted.

I now have 7 nice new colours to play with :o Just need some nails!

You've bought 7 in one day?! Hang your head in shame! (And then tell us what colours you bought and whether we NEED to buy them)

What've you done to your nails anyway? How did you wreck them?

Easily done:o I've been in a colour rut for ages so I've bought a load of cheapies to try out some different colours.

As for the nails <sigh>. Scrambling up loose screes at the weekend is NOT good for the nails.....

Broke 3 and the rest are a bit ragged. We won't mention the toes either, walking boots are death to pedicures so I can't even do them until I've done some major remedial work

Well last night I did a coat of dusty lavender but tonight have jazzed it up with the flowers on cheeky plate16 using NYC 7 day midnight amethyst and this is the result.

  • Amanita...3 breaks in one go...ouch...if that'd been me the whole country would have heard my cry of anguish. Is that a Barry M croc effect I spy in today's haul?

Mely...hope you left some for me, I can't order any til I get paid next week.

Lady S...keep the pics coming. By the way, does stamping work with acrylic paints? Ever tried it?

I use acrylic paint sometimes for nail art because it's water soluble so you can just wash it off if you make a mistake. Just wondered whether stamping would work with it. I doubt it, but will give it a try with my konad plate.

    Its worth a go.

I really want to make marbling work. I have tried it once, but got in a mess and ended up with just loads of skanky wet sellotape and odd looking nails
