What on earth is murderer's thumb?

Ok I had to google it myself. It's a gypsy term apparently for a club thumb:

Been reading all your posts for a little while now and have finally decided to take the plunge and post some of my pictures. My nails and hands aren't in great condition, but with a bit of TLC they're getting there. I've also just discovered, thanks to googling "murderer's thumb" from Hermia's post that I have these!

I'm currently wearing Nails Inc Montrose Place (a lovely shiny pink - same colour as the old Apple shuffles) with NYC Bowery Black (more of a gunmetal grey) drawn freehand diagonally across it. I didn't wait long enough for each coat to dry as I was too impatient (hence why the lines are wobbly as I wasn't able to use tape!), so it's not as good as it could be.

Pics of this and 3 manis from earlier in the week are on Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/eeeelljay/my-nails/

Your freehand is a lot steadier than mine! lol. Following you on pinterest now. I like the NYC Glitter. I've just bought Starry Silver but not tried it yet :D

I've often wondered, we see all these pics of intricately done left hands and I wonder if these nail blog stars can manage to paint their right hands to match?

    Welcome :)

Had my interview this morning. Had decided what I wanted to do with my nails but not got black so since I got my striping tape in I did this (first attempt). I used Boots 17 in Snowdrop (pearl white finish)

That snowdrop has a lovely shimmer to it :) How did the interview go? Good I hope!

OH has offered to take me to Poundland over the weekend to see what I can pick up from there, he's also said I can go and get my Sally Hansen topcoat from Superdrug tomorrow because he's sick of me moaning about smudging :)

What he doesn't realise is there is a bodycare next door to Poundland so Technic here we come! Yippeee!!

Hope you get lots of bargains PT. I've smudged my thumb nail, it won't be too noticeable once I do a repair but I forgot that 17 nail polish takes an age to go solid.

The interview went well, hope I get something soon as the savings are dwindling.
