Im a lurker and love your nail art.
Please can you advise how to remove stains on my nails caused by nail polish?
    What works well for you?

stains left behind from the polish? If you are using something bold its best to use an undercoat of clear varnish which will prevent the staining altogether. I found this out with a green shade which left DD's nails looking like they were rotting lol

If you already have stains I've seen people use whitening toothpaste with a dash of lime and scrub the nails with that for a nice bright finish :D

ok i have come to the conclusion that Poundland And Bodycare are evil i cant walk in and not buy anything good job thay are cheap shops so for todays haul i got

Revlon Powder Puff £shop i thought it was just white but its not its pearly so will be ok over a dark polish i want to make lighter.

the next items are from Bodycare

    Technic Pretty Pastels Moonlit Jade

    Technic Pretty Pastels Sweet Violet

Technic Pretty Pastels Cherry Boom Boom

    all the above were 99p

i found a white in bodycare and its cost me 29p and it will do for what i want it for, its a cream but i have put a matte top coat on and it looks really nice.

im loving the pastels range cheap and really good coverage with just one coat.

Has anyone tried the Primark polishes? I was drooling over the colours the other day, especially the glittery ones - but resisted buying them because I wasn't sure what they'd be like. I feel like a right cheapskate because they're only primark ones :rotfl: But i'd end up buying several of them because I liked so many of them so best to check here first I think :D

ETA: I don't mean the packs of 4 that are £2. The stands they have with all the individual bottles with different colours and glitters.

Xoxo, My Mum has tried their coloured nail varnish (she's only just got into nail art) and likes it but she says where as with some you'd get away with 2 coats, with this you need 3.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J
  • I't also made me realise how shockingly bad this topcoat is. Boots on Saturday for me for the Sally Hansen stuff I think!

Go to Superdrug. It's £4.99 in there instead of £5.99 in Boots.

As to the nail shapes - there seem to be about 4 people in the world with those freakily even shaped nails. I bet they have bunions and cauliflower ears, or are actually aliens;)

I actually find hand model's hands really unattractive as they look so freaky. They always have fingers that are the same width all the way down (don't they have knuckles?) and no lines on the parts of the fingers that bend. It's just weird.

I actually have 'murderer's thumb' on one of my hands so I will never be a hand model. It's a shame it's not both of my thumbs as I would at least look even! I cannot wear false nails for this reason.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Both my index nail curl inwards and it's soooo annoying. Doesnt matter how I shape them, they always bend in.

The time has come to chop mine right down. They are getting too awkward now, especially with typing and I'm starting to get breakage so when I do my Sunday night manicure I'll clip them short and even :(. Bit of a shame as I can't fit much art on then.

Morning ladies. Crappy day here. Woke up to a flood of a nose bleed and broke my little finger nail trying to stem the flow :(

Anyway, I had a bit of a brainwave last night, I guess if you are like me you have a glut of those little toe separators kicking around your manicure box? I was about to throw these ones away yesterday when I had a brainwave!

2 Sizes there, the large headed pin for larger dots as seen on my Minnie Mani, and the small headed pin for smaller dots as seen here:
