Have you tried using a cosmetic cotton bud, they are a different shape and easier to use.

I've almost run out of these and can't for the life of me remember where I bought them. I think it was either poundland or superdrug but I cant find any there, or in boots, nor in any of my local chemist. Grrrr. Its so aggravating t find something ou like thn be unable to find it again.
Would love know where you buy yours?

I got mine from home bargains, but not sure if they still have them in. Other than this I use cotton buds from the pound shop as they are thinner

I don't get tanned - freckles is the brownest i get.

I think i might try as starrystarry suggests and try some effect with it when i have a bit of time.

Its just frustrating when you really like a colour; get it on and realise it isn't you.

You could always use it with a crackle or over another colour. It might be worth trying it over a white polish or under something like Kleancolor Chunky Holo in Black. I'd be tempted to use another colour on the nail bed - ie a medium or dark blue or hibiscus/tropical pink and using the Nails Inc colour on the tips of your nails. If you mix it up a bit with colours that suit your skin tone better, you can still enjoy the colour so experiment and don't lose heart :)

I use a sponge, seems to work well. There's a link on the blog to a different way of sponging, where you get all 3 colours on the sponge at once rather than sponging one at a time. I might try it that way next time. Here's the link...

I've had a go at sponging the peacock nails, will post a pic later x

Looked at the Nailasaurus link for tutorial on gradient nails . Did nails and this method works well. With a bit more practice I'll get better at it . There's loads of inspiration on her blog , thanks !

That's very similar to Color Clubs 'Holiday Splendor'
    You can see swatches here
    http://www.scrangie.com/2011/12/color-club-beyond-mistletoe-collection.html

You'd probably find it on eBay.

    *Edit*
Looking on this site, they have competed both polishes and Holiday splendour is a dupe for blitzen. Funky Fingers polishes are apparently discontinued, but the same company now makes the Color club polishes.
