I have been eyeing up one of those super large plates. Sadly as I am off on me hols the budget will not stretch. However it's on the wish list. Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0

Ah yes, Bridal Shower is silvery. I've also got Sugar Coat which is clear iridescent http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110855649984?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1169wt_989
Otherwise, it's going to be difficult to find a plain white (ie not irridescent) as that's what most seem to be.

This might be a bit different as it's pearl white

I have found something pretty exciting though - it says it's non-toxic but I'd put it on over an undercoat or polish and then top coat after http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ranger-Inkssentials-Black-White-Enamel-Accents-/120900507119?pt=UK_Crafts_Embellishments_SM&hash=item1c263b55ef#ht_692wt_9100 -
I've just stumbled across this thread, not sure if it's a good thing or not! I'm a complete nail varnish addict, I'm always trying different styles and colours out, but I've been trying to reign in my addiction. After reading the last few pages and seeing all the colours you guys are taking about, and some of the designs on one of the blogs, I think I'm going to relapse into my addiction!!
My nails are all different lengths though as they keep splitting and then breaking - any tips on how to stop that? I've tried all different nail treatments from Sally Hansen to Avon but nothing seems to make any difference. I read somewhere about crystal files (I think that's what they're called), do they really help that much?
Thanks for your help everyone, and for letting me know I'm not the only addict around!£2012 in 2012 - £13810 -

Hello! I find Boots have some good products. With all products, you need to be in it for the long haul - treatments don't normally work instantly. Nail Armor by Orly is one of my faves.0 -
I hate that I can never get mine perfect.... Or when I do they immediately chip or smudge
but I have had the confedence to post My poor attempts after seeing that blog, as suddenly they seem a bit better......Is that terrible?
So her blog is serving a purpose then, it's making you feel more confident and it gave me a good laugh last night. I'm following her blog via GFC now, morbidly fascinated to see just how bad she can make some gorgeous products look. Your peacock nails look perfect by the way, so I don't know why you've been lacking in confidence!
athenajm...hello...welcome to the group! My suggestion would be to cut your nails down so they're all a similar length, then use the holy trinity of nail care (OPI Nail Envy, cuticle oil, LD crystal nail file).0 -

Welcome to our little, but rather exclusive little group:D
As tyger_greeneyes mentioned it is a bit of a long haul to getting good nails, mine are due mainly to health issues and you might find this interesting http://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/articles/eating-for-healthy-teeth-and-nails
If you already have a nail strengthener I would say buy a Crystal File, LD is good but there are others, it should be crystal and not glass I think. Use up what you have then consider trying Nail Envy, it works well for lots of people (but not everyone). One hand model I read about uses Almond oil on her cuticles and nails (about 30 times a day she said). Be kind to your nails, don't use them for tools!
Have fun here with all these lovely ladies, and make your purchases considered ones, I think lots us (me) have a goodly number of pretty bottles which we had to have, but never use:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
