I ordered lots of bits from the Hong Kong website posted up earlier in the thread (am lazy and cannot remember the name - sorry!). I got some nail wraps and I was very excited to try them out, however the pattern I chose didn't look as if it would work as my nails weren't long enough, and I was right so instead of pink and gold the wraps were just gold which looked really garish! And they didn't fit on right as the instructions didn't really match the wraps!
So I ended up putting one nail on and then took it off and painted instead. I went with one of my many untrieds. It looked yellow in the bottle but turned out to look like a mustard colour. Or like what one of my colleagues said yesterday, nicotine stained! So some modification was required.
In my order from HK I ordered a stamper and a plate to try out. I didn't buy any special polish, but chose one of my own. Put the polish on the plate, scraped with the scraper (obv!) but the scraper just took ALL of the polish away and didn't leave any in the pattern AT ALL!!! Not sure if I was doing it wrong or whether it was the tools I'd purhased...........
I tried with another polish and that didn't work either. So in the end I used another of my untrieds, a barry M blue crackle. However I am getting bored of crackle polish and really want to try some other stuff.
So all in all so far I'm really disappointed, as I was so excited to come in with pretty nails today and I've failed. *sob*
Might have to buy a proper konad set when I get paid next week.
Um, not teaching you to suck eggs.... but did you take the plastic cover off the plate?
I did this too and my mate who gave me the plate fell off her chair laughing. they have a film coating so you have to use your nail at the edges to find the cover.
Worked fine once I removed the plasticPlease note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -

Lovely lot of polishes Lady S , so many to play with ! Loving Polished perfectionist's peacock nails and the red ones too. Her cuticles are also so perfect that I'm jealous , no matter how much cream I use they never look like that .0

This is probably going to sound really spiteful, but I think those photos are shopped. They are just too perfect ALL of the time, and that just isn't real life.0
