A a final point i have finally started my own blog; been meening to for ages and ages and finally plucked up the courage to do it (http://pinkandtwinkly.blogspot.co.uk/)
:j
I had a bit of a play with my stamping and think I need to either practice more or get some proper polish. To be fair some looked okay but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and they weren't perfecction!
I think I've talked myself out of buying more glitters. I'm going to play with the glitters I already have in my craft stash.
I have, however, bought some mylar flakes from eBay which aren't glitter (honest).1008 Hollywalk Park Blog0 -

I bought some mylar flakes a few weeks ago and I was disappointed with them, they wouldn't lie flat on the nail and they were very odd shapes. Think I must have got really cheap ones. Let us know how you get on with them.0 -
Can I ask where you all find these bodycare shops? I don't live or work near shops so wil have to find one to travel to but can't seem to find a store page on line. Is there one with a store locator?
Alternatively shall I just list all the places I might go in the next week and you guys can all tell me where to go - maybe not
I found this list - hopefully there's one near you! They're great places to get cheap toiletries.0 -

I've been lurking on this forum for a while and I'm not sure if it's helping with moneysaving! My list of wanted nail varnishes seems to grow every time I come on here but I can't seem to find any of the ones I want!
None of the body care shops are near to me but I've managed to find some technic nail varnish (mermaid and carnival) on Amazon. Still desperately searching for Essence Blue Addicted. Does anyone have any idea where I can buy one in the UK?

Well I've had a bit of a diaster nail art wise over the past few days!!
I ordered lots of bits from the Hong Kong website posted up earlier in the thread (am lazy and cannot remember the name - sorry!). I got some nail wraps and I was very excited to try them out, however the pattern I chose didn't look as if it would work as my nails weren't long enough, and I was right so instead of pink and gold the wraps were just gold which looked really garish! And they didn't fit on right as the instructions didn't really match the wraps!
So I ended up putting one nail on and then took it off and painted instead. I went with one of my many untrieds. It looked yellow in the bottle but turned out to look like a mustard colour. Or like what one of my colleagues said yesterday, nicotine stained! So some modification was required.
In my order from HK I ordered a stamper and a plate to try out. I didn't buy any special polish, but chose one of my own. Put the polish on the plate, scraped with the scraper (obv!) but the scraper just took ALL of the polish away and didn't leave any in the pattern AT ALL!!! Not sure if I was doing it wrong or whether it was the tools I'd purhased...........
I tried with another polish and that didn't work either. So in the end I used another of my untrieds, a barry M blue crackle. However I am getting bored of crackle polish and really want to try some other stuff.
So all in all so far I'm really disappointed, as I was so excited to come in with pretty nails today and I've failed. *sob*
Might have to buy a proper konad set when I get paid next week.0 -

You could try different scraper. I use an old credit card rather than the metal one that comes with the sets (doesn't scratch the plates).0 -
