Thanks Just_wondering, and although I wish you all the best Chunkyduck I take some solace from the fact that I'm not the only one, it is disconcerting when you know people or know of people who are starting when your still waiting and being left in the dark. I hope you hear soon.
Well the position I applied for was at Preston, at this rate though I'll be lucky to get a position as an AA at Washington. I've worked for the DWP Twice before and the application Process for that was long so I new when I applied that I was in for a long haul, but neither of those were anywhere near as long as this and they were paper based systems relying on postal service.
I just can't fathom what takes so long, when I worked for the police the application involved an application, assessment centre, physical, medical and vetting interview didn't take as long. The pre-employment checks which involved the highest level of CRB, credit checks a ten year employment and address check as well as the vetting of most close family and took less than 3 weeks.
It's a shame as I was really looking forward to starting this role. I just hope I hear soon and that they haven't filled all the roles when I do.0 -

hi there, I started in preston last monday as an AO and this is what I gather by what staff both permanent and those on FTA contracts who have worked there before have said. Last monday when I started was the only start date for the 12 month contracts for AO positions, they were expecting 60+ new starts but 75% turned up due to the fact that some people were only given a week notice to the start date and therefore didnt have enough time with notice periods having to be done in previous jobs.
a new lot of AOs start on monday at an office next door but these are only for 6 month contracts on tempry contracts not FTAs so wont be renewed. Although due to the poor turnout last week there are some new people starting on the 12 month contracts although they will be a week behind on training.
the training has allready been planned for the next few weeks and as far as I am aware there are no more dates for AA or AO positions but then dont hold me to that.
I dont understand why you havent been contacted as I scored the same with 93% on the original sift test.
Hope you hear something back soon, this has definatly been a long winded application and the process has been frustrating for all0 -

I passed the AA interview way back in December, and still no word for a start date. Am beginning to give up all hope.0 -
I'm wondering if I actually want to work there now. How can they place people with lower scores in jobs before someone with fives and 94%? how much better than that could it get?0

I've now received a start date, start on the 18th as an AO on a 12 month contract. I had applied for both AA and AO jobs, they had done my pre-employment checks under the AA role and given me the offer under the AO. So they had done the checks and just not transferred them over, it's only until they got my email that they noticed so could have started 2 weeks ago.
So if you haven't heard anything yet it may be worth emailing asking if they have missed you off a list or something, not sure if in the only one starting on Monday or if there's anybody else0 -
congrats thunderclap i'm in same boat just wondered where you mailed as i'm still in limbo
thanks0 -
I emailed the vacancy holder listed in the vacancy details which can be found in the review applications part of the csr website, it did take a while to get a reply though.0

cheers for that0

I've had an interview on the 19th January and have received some feedback.
I would really like to know if anybody else who has applied has heard yet if they have the job? because the waiting is killing me lol.
Also, does anybody know what the interview is marked out of for HMRC jobs?
Are any of you Liverpool applicants still awaiting a start date? The last time I contacted HR, I was told to keep checking my email box. I have been doing so every day, as instructed, but still no sign of a job offer.
Does anybody know what's going on here with the Liverpool recruitment process?0 -
Just wondering if any of you Liverpool applicants have any word yet about a start date? The last time they contacted me was a few weeks ago, when they said HR are still deciding how many posts to fill, and that they would be in touch again once they had a decision. Are any of you Liverpool applicants still awaiting a start date?
