Does anybody have a direct telephone number for the Human Resources for HMRC, as I need to chase up my job application?
Thanks.0 -
I had an interview at the start of December for Liverpool. I thought it went well and I've had the CRB done. My refereees were contacted over a month ago. Since then I've heard nothing. In fact my status was up until last week still scheduled for interview! It now says my application's on hold. Has anyone heard back from Liverpool (Netherton) yet?
Have you heard anymore about your job application yet?0 -
Hey guys; my partner has been asked for references for pre-employment checks and they have now been contacted; however; she has not received a conditional offer. Do they often do pre-employment checks without offering a position?0

Hey guys; just wondering if anyone knows if there's any chance of renewing the contract after the 12 month ft is over or will it definitely end at the end of 12 months?
Thank you Guys!0 -
Hi Stacey,
I used to be on an FTA contract and it was extended if they still needed staff. You get extended automatically.0 -

You might get the opportunity to apply internally for a permanent position, but I'd say that would be rare now. It was hard to get a permanent job when I left in 2010.
If you are on FTA contract for over 4 years they have to make you permanent.
You'll get flexitime when you start which is great if you want to build up time off so it doesn't come out of your annual leave. I found that the Civil Service are a lot more organised and plan things better than any private sector job I've had and you will get very good training.
If HMRC is anything like the place I worked for, you'll really enjoy it.0
