What are the tall tambour wall units, when I go on the MFI website it says it is unable to show me images. Why did you go with their half height wall units, do Howdens not do them, is this the ones that you pull up instead of open to the side, if so I want a couple of these do and definatley some of the pan drawers, i just wish they were that big with three drawers like my friend has (different kitchen) so she can put her utensils in the top small but long drawer.
Thanks about the side panels as in the Howdens brochure they are showing as wood.
I will have a look at B&Q for plinth lights and def get the plinths from Howdens.
Andy
Soz for seeming a little stupies, I am looking in the Howdens brochure at the cram and can not see the differance between that and the white. Do you mean that the edging on the top goes over a little rather than being flush.
I think I now see what you mean and can now see the differance.
Now I haven't a clue what to do as I wanted cream and not white but I too want the clear defined edges.
What to do now?
Thanking you for your replies.
Jules
The Tall Tambour units are the wall units that follow all the down to the worktop with the silver blind type shutters, Howdens do not sell these, so we brought these from MFI. They don't seem to come up on the MFI website, but they do have them with the space range in the MFI showrooms and they are also have them in their price list.
Howdens do not sell the 1000cm half height units and the 1000cm two pan draws, so we also brought these ffrom MFI.
We also brought the 60cm three draw unit, the top two draws are smaller for untensil's and the bottom drawis larger, Howdens do sell this.
The plinth lights in B&Q are called LED lights by the way.
The edging (Cornicing) has the option of having in square or rounded options, but this is for the white, i'm not sure if this applies to the cream.0 -
Thanks again
I have now seen the tambour units in MFI, don't think I am going to have these but could change my mind.
I have been to Howdens today and he said about not having the pan units and that they only have the 800 ones.
I will def look at the 60cm three drawer unit as think these would be good.
Are the LED lights the small round ones, I have seen the square ones but think I would prefer the round.
I aske d about the cornicing and the man showed me what you meant, your'e right you can have it on the white or black, he said these are a newer design than the cream. he did say I could get the cupboard from them and the top bit from MFI.
The guy in Howdens seemed good, instead of trying to say get all the stuff from him, he was advising what they have and what I might be best getting from MFI.
I am going to go back to MFI and speak to someone else as didn't rate the guy I saw at all. I want to see what they can do on price.
What kind of sink would you recommend, originally I was looking for something different but now am looking a silver again but would like something quite sleek, not like the one I have now with the bowl and the grooves on the side bits, kinda old fashioned if you know what I mean.
It's great getting peoples opinions and advice as this is the first time I have done this, also being on my own is good to get peoples thoughts and share them.
Next will be the bathroom but will sort the kitchen before I move on to anything else.
Thanks again

It all depends as to whether you are looking for an undermount or inset sink. Take a look at the Franke or Blanco websites.
Franke do some excellent looking minimalist sinks. Have a look at the Planar range for an inset and Bolero Box range for an undermount.0 -
Thanks for that
I have had a look at them and you are right, they are very nice and just what I am looking for. I will have a look round to see if I can get them any cheaper.
Great find.
Thanks
