The website https://www.about.com is American but has some useful lists of the least carby fruit and veg for example.

The Americans have to deduct fiber content shown from carbs to get net carbs whereas in the UK & EU this is already done for you on labelling.

Wall's Cream of Cornish ice cream is also 11g/100ml (2 ice cream scoops). You can find carbs for Wall's, Carte d'Or and many others on https://www.loveicecream.com

I would suggest that buying an ice cream maker and doing yourself is a lower carb option if you're a real ice cream fan !

A healthy diet is much better for you than low carb fad diets. Maybe some exercise as well. You don't need expensive gym's, just try going for a walk and eating more fruit and veg.

What about us who have diabetes and have to watch our carbs are we on a FAD diet.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

HOWMUCH people with diabetes, prediabetes or insulin resistance are definitely not on a fad diet, we're compensating for the fact that we can't process carbs.

Unfortunately, until very recently, NHS policy was to tell people like us that we could eat a normal ie carb-heavy diet like everyone else and just stuff meds. Hopefully more people are getting the message that if they cut down on carbs they don't need as much medication and that cutting down on carbs will improve their health more quickly.

I probably just upset the diet thread when I pointed out that Weetabix + nutrigrain bar + tomato soup + jacket potato + nutrigrain bar has potentially 30g of sugar and just the Weetabix has 25g carbs per 37g serving. No-one will lose weight on that.

So anti-low carbers pls go moan elsewhere or better still go read up as fat doesn't turn to fat, whereas carbs turn to sugar.

Low-carbers give yourselves a virtual high five :D
