  • Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! I do love red wine, it's one of my few remaining vices but I try and save it for special events now. If I'm particularly hankering for a drink at home, I have an occassional vodka and slimline tonic (no carbs).

Loving these offers, just wish I could get to most of them, we only have Tesco / Co-op / M&S over here. I can vouch for the 'Isle of Man Creamery Cracked Peppercorns Mature Cheddar' though, I live about 1 mile from the creamery, it's delicious, particularly grated over hot green veg or in chunks with olives for a snack.

It's gorgeous, only thing is, it doesn't seem to last very long :D IOM is a great place to live, we escaped here 3 years ago, no plans to ever return to the UK!

Not sure I'd want to live on the same island as Jeremy Clarkson, even part-time, but catching your own lobster seems a cool idea ! (he did it with Gordon Ramsay)
  • haha! I know where he lives, but I've never seen him! Due to a few legal cases, he's not a very popular man over here! The home he has here is only for holidays as his wife is Manx. Never caught my own lobster but food foraging here is good, mussels, samphire, herbs, berries and mushrooms are all pretty common if you know where to look at the right time of year.

SOya milk at 62p a litre. Also for low carbs has a decent amount of fibre in. Plus some good protein and vitamins. Shame its not particular tastey.
Lidl eggs are a good price. Variety of omletes or fratartas as many vegs low in carbs but good flavours.

Cinnamen has a lot of fibre

I didn't know that - my uncle knows her but I've never met her. Michael Portillo's mother is Manx too.
