Big mineral make-up fan here as well. I use Lily Lolo for everyday, and was impressed by Meow also (but slightly bewildered by the colour choice!). I'd never heard of Elemental Beauty, so I've ordered some foundation samples and an eyeshadow to see how I get on. Thanks to those who mentioned it. :)

I have the meow ones as well and tbh I ordered so many samples of different colours and finishes - Im just totally confused and just not using them.

Im back on the Bare escentuals atm but Im still preferring the EB. I use so much less of that to get the coverage - just having trouble with the colours

If you don't think you'll ever use them, you might have some luck putting them on eBay as a job lot. They were quite sought after on a beauty forum I used to post on, but a lot of people are wary of ordering from the U.S.

I was like you - I ordered so many shades I've now totally forgotten which worked for me and which didn't!

All your recommendations tempted me as well, so I tried to contact Elemental Beaty for some advice on sample colours (they have an awful lot!) but can't get the email to work. Does anyone have an alternate email address to the contact email on the website?

Give me a few moments and see if I can get you a link.

Just want to add, meanwhile, that I am so loving my pink brush for applying the mineral, that not sure I will go back to a kabuki. Took a couple of uses to 'break' it in, but then a kabuki needs that too, well I think so!

Off to find a link now...

I'm not very IT lit - could take a while - been a long day at work too.. :o

Talk to or email Nicola at EB. I emailed her before I went on hols re what colour re tan... if get one (I did :D ) She recommended Cinnamon - she was 'bang on'. It was just right to calm any redness down (although tried not to burn) and now that I am back, and the face fades straight away (bummer), I dust myself with it in the morning and glow with healthiness - although I generally feel like sh*t. At least I don't look it!

Nicola recommend cinnamon for me on basis of what I had ordered before when not tanned - obviously, we all vary. (I'm normally pasty)

I agree, talk to Nicola - she's excellent! I've been using Lily Lolo's Cool Caramel mineral foundation, but I have a duff immune system and often break out with cranial shingles, producing lots of tiny painful blisters on my face. To be honest I can't bear to put anything on them when they appear, but (and this is gross:eek:) once they've burst and scabbed over I need something to hide them :o. Don't recommend a paper bag...... Yes I've felt that desperate!:rotfl:

I e-mailed Nicola to ask if she had any idea which EB healing foundation would be nearest to the Lily Lolo shade I'm using and she told me the two nearest shades. I ordered samples and I'm pleased to say that 'Bunny' is an almost exact match! This means that I can still use my Lily Lolo one on normal days and save the EB one with allantoin for the problem days.

I've had my i.d. Bare Escentuals Kabuki brush for a number of years now (it came as part of a kit from the U.S.). With everyday use though, everything wears out eventually, so I thought I'd look around for a replacement. I wanted one that's not synthetic and found these are pretty pricey - some in the region of £55 .

After extensive searching ;) I found a one that's pure goat hair, with a handle, for the princely sum of £6.99 including postage :T from: http://www.ionacosmetics.co.uk I just got an e-mail to say it has been shipped, so I'll let you know how it works out.
