Spiffing is a lovely word, all tickety boo here!

A couple of re-purposes:- Transferred 150ml Olay face wash into handwash pump, know it will not lather too much, but hopefully can use it up this way, prefer other cleansers these days. Also topped up 2 100ml pumps with handcreams from tubes, I find it easier to use handcream from pump and so do moisturise my hands more often this way, can't count hem as UU's, but will get through them quicker. Hand stuff drawer now contains only 9 new full size products, plus at least 5 in use in handbag, knitting bag, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, travel bag, and bag with junk in for when I go out for day (Tomtom, camera, chargers etc). Do I have a problem hoarding handcream? I think that is a big YES!

  • I've cancelled my LIB red carpet box, got massive buyers remorse last night. prob too much seeing as thou i have a carmine on its way (been desperate to try steam cream and seeing as though i got the box for a fiver, its cheaper than buying the full size and gets me lots of freebies with it) and amarya due at round about the same time.

also, i have too much primer and eyeliner already. i do want the organic eyeliner but i need to make a push at shifting what i already have first. the £14.99 cost can buy me the full size proper leighton denny one i want from boots too.
  • Hi All!

Just slipping back in here before the end of the month... can't believe February has nearly gone (and that I've not posted on here since I signed up for February's challenge!)

    So failed slightly...
    INs: 6
Kerastase shampoo and conditioner. I got flogged these by a lovely hairdresser who gave me a dressing down for the state of my hair then produced these, after doing the hard sell for a £30 treatment in the salon... having considered the treatment and realised I couldn't justify the expense, I then thought that as I was so good the £30 would buy the kerastase stuff that would last me ages rather than one treatment. I need my head seeing to, I really do. Lovely, but shouldn't have bought them!!!
Dove deodorant - needed it as I started using a Pitrok deodorant but that seems to have irritated my underarms :-(
Loreal Million Lashes Mascara - again, shouldn't have as I have loads of other mascaras - but this is my HG mascara and I got it for an ego boost before an interview so I culd feel was looking my best.
Fake nails from boots - not sure if they count as toiletries, and cheaper than shellac or a salon manicure, but again, could have done without!
Eyeshadow collection 2000 trio - bought as my other one (use daily) was running out.

Freebies - was given a Body Shop Body Butter from OH after he'd been a bit of an idiot. He knows how to charm me with body lotions!! :rotfl:

    UU: 4
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation - WBA. In fact I already have more in the stash. I love it although my face has gone from oily to less oily but a bit flakey since using it, and I've yet to determine if it's the foundation or other skincare I'm using causing this.
    Sure Deodorant - WBA
Mitchum Deodorant - WNBA - wierd as everyone raves about mitchum but I didn't think it did a great job tbh! By the way, I don't go through deodorant at huge speeds - just had a few splutterers to use up!:rotfl:
Avon Mystique shower gel - WBA - definitely! Love the smell of this, OH loves the smell of this, and it's often on offer. I already have more in the stash.

So, will be signing up for March's challenge and hopefully being a bit more strict with myself and not falling for sales tactics!!!

HOpe everyone is well - I've not had a chance to catch up on this months thread yet - have been very busy at work and home, and have been looking for a new job so had a couple of interviews this month that came to nothing - but have another interview on Friday that I'm quietly confident about so trying to cram this week so I can try to nail it!

Can I just mention that you should try to use up your toiletries as they have a shelf life of 3 years maximum.

I found an old stash of unopened shampoo, conditioners, body lotions and sunscreens left over in a box from a previous move. I was advised to dump them by a pharmaceutical cosmetic chemist. Scroll down to item 7 'Out of date products'

"Should" being the operative word ;)
  • Ladies, we may have a breakthrough! Work took me in the direction of the Boots clearance store earlier so I thought I might as well pop in......walked right round - twice, picked a few things up and book them back again, and walked out empty handed! :T

I have 2 ins but i'm not counting them. Nail oil don't have any at all, and No7 foundation brush bought with a £5 off No7 coupon. So only needed items purchased. This challenge is definitely having a positive effect on my skin and how I look.

    2 UU

200ml Elemis Rehydrating Rose Petal Cleanser. Love the smell, it is really nice to use, but have LE C&P and Elemis Pro-radiance to use before I consider buying.

100g Norfolk Lavender Rose & Lavender Talc. WBA if I came across it, but must be 3 years old as I use only a smidgeon at a time.

May be a couple of sachets finish tomorrow, then I think it will be a bit slower for March.
