Dont think I will go for the LIB box, I want to be that girl, red lips, cute eyeliner, retro hair... instead I am that dogs dinner lol. So i would buy the box with wishes, and hopes and it would just join the red lipstick stash.

And my Eppilator was braun, from boots, with a sticker on the box proclaiming the money back guarantee, so that would be something to look out for.
  • Oliviab I've got a braun one too. came with a separate head to cut hair as well as epilate and a fancy head with little gel rollers on it to supposedly make it hurt less.

they do hurt at first, if you've ever had threading done its kinda like that. take a painkiller then have a soak in a hot bath for 20-30 mins then try it. mine can go completely underwater and it hurts less if i do that. the heat also opens up your pores so they come out easier. I've not been brave enough to try underarm yet.

it does hurt less the more you do it though! just get through the first two weeks or so.
  • I bought an epilator years ago. I didn't find it too bad to use but then found that it made my legs come out in red bumps. I think they were ingrown hairs? It took weeks for my legs to recover  Did anyone else have this problem?

A tiny used up to report:

    UU17
    Dr Hauschka Rejuvinating Mask (5g)

WBA when I've used up all my other masks...

I get them all the time! That's why I get through an epic amount of exfoliator, using that and dry body brushing is the only thing that keeps them slightly under control!

Speaking of exfoliator, got through another UU of origins modern friction repurposed as exfoliator again. WNBA, has SLS in and is too harsh for my face.

  • Not to be a naughty enabler, but this month's Cosmo has free Clinique products - according to the front of the magazine there's a lipgloss, a mascara, a face scrub or a moisturiser. Slightly smaller selection than the Glamour one and a bit more expensive (I think it's £3.50 as opposed to £2 for Glamour) but might be worth a look...

I use an epilator, and tbh, the first few times I found it agonising  I ditto the comment about taking a painkiller 20-30 minutes beforehand. I did perservere though, and definitely don't feel pain like I used to. I tried it on my underarms, absolute agony the first time so I gave up! The second time I used it on my underarms I gritted my teeth and then every other time the pain was less and less. It may be something to do with the fact that there's less hairs everytime to remove, so there's less to feel??

I have the Braun 7681 I think it is which I got free from BzzAgent last year  It's suitable for underwater use which definitely helps with feeling less pain. If it ever packs up, I would replace it without a doubt.

    UUs
Boots Trial Overnight Serum: WIBA? Maybe. I really liked this & how it felt.
Boots Time Delay Radiance Booster: WIBA? Maybe. I found this very moisturising (and it was obviously bought with a £5 voucher :rotfl:), but it was very liquid iykwim? I think I prefer my moisturisers slightly thicker!

    TAs:
Boots Trial Mascara: WIBA? Yes if I knew what it was. I liked it, but found it lurking in a washbag, and I know I was using it about June last year, so away it goes!
No7 Extravagant Lashes Mascara (Blue): WIBA? Yes. I know a lot of people didn't get on with the square brush, but I got used to it. This has been open for well over a year (maybe two?) so again I have to part with it!

  • Morning all - one quick IN to report - the Percy & Reed Moisturising hair Conditioner free from Glamour mag.

Willowbee - same here with the epilator but it does get better over time, exactly as Sawan says - less painful too! The exfoliation thing is key I think for keeping the ingrown hairs under control.

Just a quick pop in before I run off for uni

    2 outs:

The Body Shop black eye liner- yes, I LOVE IT!
Avon colour works brown mascara- not bad for the price but i'm sure something else out there would do the trick too.

Hope you're all spiffing and hugs to all that need them xx
