I'm going to have my hair cut somewhere new today, and I'm feeling a bit nervous to say the least!! I've been going to the same hairdresser for a few years now, but he's moved & price has gone up a little, but enough for me to try somewhere else. I hope I don't regret it! It's quite long now, I reckon about half-way down my back, so I figure a couple of inches off to test the water, if I'm happy will go back in a few months to get a little more off, and if not will go back to normal one.

Sorry for rambling, trying to calm my nerves slightly :o

Rosemary, I'm glad you enjoyed the pedicure :)

evilquid BrandAlley had some LD stuff in on Friday, and in one of the sets there was a crystal file. Maybe try checking it out?

LadyM Chilling out with the TV & editing photos sounds like a relaxing evening. Add a hot chocolate and perfecto!

just looked at the red box...how disapointing:(the Richard ward hair stuff was in the last box and I have loads of mascara, eyepencils and lipstick so no point in buying:(also why so expensive when the 1st two boxes I bought were £4.95?????Also just checked my little beauty box and they only sent 3 instead of 4 sachets of 1 product:(:(:(may sound picky but think I will email them about it.I was soooo looking forward to this box but am not buying stuff I already have too much of!

emailed LIB and got a reply straight away(must say they are on the ball with customer service:)) they sent me a code for my next little box tho not sure if it means it is free or just cheaper but you can only buy 1 a month so need to wait and hopefully there will be different samples

This isn't toiletry related, but still comes under beauty. Has anyone used an epilator before? I've seen a braun one for £35 when it should be more like £60, I'm so tempted to get it. Are they any better than shaving though?

I've never really thought to buy one before, but it's a great offer and I hate having to shave so often! Does it hurt though? :)

Thinking of getting a foundation brush to try can someone recommend a good one that's not too expensive, don't want to spend a lot of money then find i don't like it.

    I got a no7 one from Boots, I think they're about £14 but £5 off if you have a no7 voucher! :D

And- I try and buy fairtrade when I can which is why I prefer BS to lush as they use community trade. I'm also meant to be doing a presentation on it soon so hope to make more people aware of it :j

I think for English Lit A level my friends are doing birdsong and the history boys so no ye olde english :D

I'm tempted to buy an epilator which I know will work out cheaper in the long run than hair removal cream and waxing (and less messy) but I'm worried I will find it too painful and never use it. I wish I could try before I buy :D
    Toiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:13

I have a Marks & Spencer one that I bought after reading reviews for it on this site (there was a super-long thread about makeup etc). It's very good.

The EcoTools brushes are also very good, although I don't have the foundation one. They are often cheaper on eBay.

I also like Body Shop brushes although again, I don't have the foundation one.

I have one, and use it for legs and underarms. When I first started using one, it hurt lots to start. However, each time you epilate it hurts less, and now it barely hurts at all. I would get used to it on your legs first - but I definitely think it's much better than shaving, as I don't need to epilate very often, and the hair grows back sparser after a while.

I have heard that taking a painkiller 1/2 hr before epilating should help to start.

Thanks Dollypop and IlonaRN I'll have a look at those brush options. Unsure what to do re Estee Lauder stuff, I went to the Estee Lauder in House of Fraser to test the foundation and they were really helpful and friendly and have a list of all the products used, but Debenhams have a bonus offer on. Would be better to get the bonus products but it was the staff on the other counter who helped me out, oh what to do was hoping to go and get the foundation at the weekend as really liked it.
