  • First of all happy belated B'Days to all I missed and hugs to anyone who needs them

I have few INs and UUs to report

    UUs first

    - Lush Jungle conditioner: I may buy it again. It lasts a while and is free of any silicones
    - Lush Helping Hands hand cream: WNBA as the smell is too herbal for me

I also blended 2 OS Mini shower gels, Lush blue shower jelly, 50 ml dove shower gel, last dregs of Lush Bohemain soap with a bit of distilled water to make a shower gel concoction which I have put in the shower in an empty Lush Rehab shampoo bottle as these individually were either drying for the skin or difficult to use. DH used it yesterday for the first time and didn't complain so all good and this means I have decluttered some of the mini bottles lying around.

I am officially out of conditioner except for a 200ml Dove that I will be taking on holiday in march and will finish it there only so bought one over the weekend

    INs

    - Australian Bodycare argan facial cream - It was recommended in the £land thread here and my stash for facial moisturiser is not that big so happy about the bargain. I should get around to using this this year when all my facial moisturiser stash is used up.
    - Sainsburys basics conditioner: I was actually torn between this and Alberto Balsam 4 for £3 offer. Decided to give it a try as a friend uses it and finds it alright. I didn't want to create a stash of hair conditioner again so didn't want to buy 4 alberto balsams. If it is no good, then I would have only wasted 24p
    - Tony and Guy Heat defence spray - Again it was on the £land thread. I don't know if it's good value or not but I needed a travel sized one for my holiday in march so this was needed.
    - Lush Sacred Truth fresh face mask: No money spent on this one as got this in exchange of 5 lush black pots.

I bought a braun epilator that came with a money back guarantee if I used it 3 times and hated it! it DOES hurt, but gives a finish more like waxing than shaving, nice and smooth, and you can buy spray to numb yourself first =)

I bought one to save money on getting waxed, which has worked.

Sounds interesting, what make was this? I would like to try one but don't want to buy it and then find that it's too painful:(
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

  • Post got eaten.

Finished the Bath&Body Works Cool Citrus Basil shower gel (250ml) It seemed to last forever. It's discontinued. Replaced with a blue bottle I pulled randomly from the stash.

Somerset & Asquith Lavender soap used up. Huge cake from a gift box. Pulled a brick of Aran Aromatics soap from the stash. Turns out it's lavender. It smells lovely. More spring like and it's wafting around the upstairs even though I haven't wet it yet.

Tossed the dregs of an EL Pleasures Body Lotion.

I'm not that old, so I don't know how I'm acquiring a stash of scented soaps. I honestly don't think I'll have to buy bar soap again for about a decade.

I had a bathroom reno last year (that shall not be discussed) and there are still boxes in the basement. That's where I found the shower gel and body lotion I tossed. Figured, I'd better clear out the boxes before the under the sink cabinet.

I'm just coming off a run of night shifts and apologize if this doesn't make sense.
  • UU Dove mini shower gel WBA I do love the smell of Dove but don't need to buy any shower gel for a while.

UU mini can of Batiste, found this empty in the bathroom cupboard thanks to my eldest DD sneakily using it.

UU TBS Shea butter body scrub WBA this is one of the better BS scrubs scrubby and moisturising and not all runny like the cherry one.

I have ordered the LIB red carpet box as its good value and they are all things I would use (lame excuse I know!). On the plus side I did leave the Avon book on the doorstep today with no order

I believe that the "was" vs "were" depends on how likely it is for the event to actually happen.

For example - if I am very unlikely to be rich, I would use "If I were rich...".
If I can't join in an evening out, but I normally would do, I would use "If I was able to join...".

That's the difference as I was taught it :)

    Thank you.

I'm taking an English Literature degree but "were" and "was" is one of the few grammar things I struggle with. I'm okay with most grammar, it's just the odd thing. :D

  • Knew I forgot something.

Glymm box arrived. Total waste of $10 and cancelling it. I've had three boxes and 2 of them have either been missing an item or had damaged products.

So, in a Burt's Bees lip balm (will give to sons gf) and I don't consider this a luxury.
A purple paint and peel nailpolish (I'll try it and probably pass it on)
Two sheets of bronzing blotter sheets (really generous sample, not)
and missing from the box Glamglow mud mask. The only product I'd wanted to try.

Oh, and the bodylotion/butter thing. I live where it reaches -30C for a couple of months a year and it's very drying on the skin. You wind up slathering the stuff on after baths and before bed. I've found tubes of hand cream in every handbag, work tote bags, and under the seats of all the vehicles. Even the husband's truck which I don't drive but he gets cracked finger tips from the cold.

Thanks! I'm hoping the pain will reduce the more times I use it! That's great that you can get a money back guarantee.

I have two samples of the stuff from the boxes. Everyone commented on the stench.

Guess I can't post them to you!!;)
