Aldi Q10 Night Cream - this was a necessary purchase :) Not tried anything from Aldi before, I hope I get on with it!!

My cheeks have been quite red & sore recently :( Not sure if it was a combination of items or just one. I've just restarted with my usual serum & moisturiser, so if I still have a problem it may be the Clarins cleanser or toner. I really hope not, as I love how they feel & smell.

Rosemary I hope everything goes to plan for your holiday :)

Evilsquid you had me :rotfl: when I read your post!!

Am I a reformed character as I'm not tempted by the Clinique freebies with the mag?? I'd like to think so, but I know it'll just take the right product to twist my arm :rotfl::rotfl:

  • A FAIL to report...

    IN:

    Weleda Pomegranate Shower Gel (200ml)
    Weleda Pomegranate Body Oil (100ml)
    Weleda Pomegrante Hand Cream (50ml)

I gave in to temptation and bid on a box set on eBay. It went up to my maximum and I won. I spent just over £16 (inc P&P) which is a fair price (It's £38.95 on the Weleda site ) but I'm so cross with myself as I don't need shower gel and hand cream...Once I have some energy I might eBay everything but the body oil.

On a happier note I just wanted to say

    THANK YOU

to you all for making me feel so welcome here. I only joined on the 12th but I've managed 17 used ups this month :j. Some were only small but each one was significant as I was using things in such a scattered way that nothing was being finished. In fact, if I really liked something I'd stop using it so that it didn't run out! (Madness!)

You're such a lovely, friendly, supportive group :D

I'm definitely IN for next month.

  • "naughty enabler" - ooh love that phrase! Not wanting to be one but went to get Glamour mag and Marie Claire (April issue) has a free Neal's Yard Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisture (worth £12) which somehow jumped into my basket. Couldn't find a Glamour with shampoo or conditioner so will have to try elsewhere but did get one with the mask as my DD has a dry scalp at the moment so thought at £2 was worth a try. So 2 INs for me. Not sure the finishing cream is of interest though so did pass on that one.

Have also, as expected, bought the Laura Geller tsv! Have gone for the whole month without buying another one though which is a major benefit of being on the thread...

Also, some UUs for the month:

Gatineau defilift 3D eye serum - wba - this was spluttering from my weekend bag so decided to UU -pulled the top off with some pliers and got another weeks worth of eye cream from it :money:. Really like the consistency of this cream and it is one I would purchase again if I ever UU all my eye cream stash!

Estee Lauder - shimmer eye shadow duo - this was quite old and was a GWP. Used the lighter shade as my base colour then threw it away as I have enough brown eye shadows to last me to 100 and this one wasn't a favourite. Did like the staying power of this eye shadow though.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the Mar thread...

IN from Cosmopolitan: Clinique Moisture Surge.
I've been wanting to try this for ages - it's a very generous 30ml. The full size is £30 for 50ml.

Haven't been on for a couple of days and only on page 25 of 33. Not sure if I'll manage to catch up properly before a new March thread is started but thought I'd better quickly mention a UU of shampoo this morning. Hubby had left it on the side as a UU last night but I managed to get one more use out of it this morning so it has definitely gone now. Just another 11 bottles to go.
    Did owe £9,951.96

I'm pretty proud of myself today. I only bought one copy of cosmo and got a lipgloss which i'm sure i'll use in no time. However, I did have 14 nails inc varnishes arrive today but they are all so lovely. I also had a Soap and glory set (eyelashes, concealer, lipgloss and arch de triumph) but it was heavily reduced on ebay.

I've also bought some new clothes for this season/ the foreseeable future- my teaching uniform of smart clothes and sensible hemlines! Because they are all so plain etc, i'm hoping some jazzy nail varnish will spruce the outfits up, make me feel a bit more like me yet still be appropriate.

I am finishing February with about 34 UU's, GA's or TA's since start of January, I have not kept a proper list, but just skimmed back through previous posts, quite pleased with this, as I a now thinking about what I am using and not just lucky dipping through my stash. I dug out my weekend bags today and will concentrate on using all the stuff in there. I am not likely to have so much time away this year, as the last 3 years (thank goodness), so will either take full sizes with me or decant into travel bottles. Now I live so far from good shops I will be getting less Clinique, EL and Clarins GWP sets so unlikely to accumulate all those lovely trial/half size products. Thanks girls for the incentive and the encouragement, onwards to a new month.
