  • Hi everyone!

I'm finishing Feb with a total of 26 UUs, but that's since January. The main achievement for me is 0 INS!! Can't believe I've gone 2 whole months without buying any toiletries, I'm a new woman!!

Latest UU was S&G the righteous Butter Light - this has been open for ages and I finally decided to finish it off. I WNBA, but it was a fine body lotion, there are just others I prefer. Now I'm onto a half used tube of S&G Daily Butter - it's very rich, will probably be a LHJ!

Anyhoo...see you all on the March thread xxx

I might be tempted to buy a mag for the freebie Clinique :o

    But not in Feb :p

So final tallys for Feb are 13UUs and only 3Ins ( 2 deos and a dry shampoo) costing only £3.46. I am well under my £15 a month budget which I am delighted with :j

    See you all in March.

Away to catch up with pages but I have no more UUs this month

UU mini can of Batiste, found this empty in the bathroom cupboard thanks to my eldest DD sneakily using it.

This has happened to me as well. Why can't they tell us when it's nearly finished. Aaaah. Anyone know where it's on offer at the mo?
Not to be a naughty enabler, but this month's Cosmo has free Clinique products - according to the front of the magazine there's a lipgloss, a mascara, a face scrub or a moisturiser. Slightly smaller selection than the Glamour one and a bit more expensive (I think it's £3.50 as opposed to £2 for Glamour) but might be worth a look...

Saw this on the MSE newsletter. Am going to try to resist as I do have quite a few facial moisturisers in my stash although I might be tempted to get the scrub. Can anyone give me any recommendations for the scrub?
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Valm- I highly recommend this scrub, it is quite gentle but still quite scrubby IYKWIM, it can be used daily and I find it leaves my skin feeling really smooth and my make up looks much better after I use this. I'm actually feeling quite stupid over this as I have just realised that Cosmo were giving away generous sized freebies - 4 days after shelling out for the full sized product :o

If it's the 7-day scrub cream, rinse-off formula, I find it really good. It has a good amount of "scrubbiness", but does not irritate. It is my second favorite (after from one that costs ~£40 ).

Am making my way over to the naughty step as I caved and bought the LG TSV. TBH I am probably only going to keep a couple of items and sell the rest. I really battled with myself as to whether to order this or not but here's the thing. My daughter Emma is 13 and has been using my Balance N Brighten for a while. She now says that the new one I have opened looks orange on her so I have ordered this kit with the porcelain one for her to try. That way if it does not suit her I can return it. I really don't want her using anything else as I don't want her looking caked in make up. I'm also letting her have the eye spackle out of the kit. I don't need more eyeshadow or blusher so am hoping to sell them on and make back a substantial amount towards the kit price. Not sure what to do about the spackle as I have one on the go and one in stash at the mo but will keep using it so it's a dilemma :rotfl:

Not counting the freebie hair products as unnecessary as I don't have any treatments and am on my last tube of Hair Rules smoothing cream.

May have a nosey for the Clinique scrub now that a couple of you have rated it highly. x

I think all things considered I didn't buy anything (except the LG kit) that was unnecessary.

Have repainted my nails tonight and am wearing OPI Did You Ear About Van Gough.

See you all in March. x

oh - and final piece of news, had a message on facebook earlier, my visiting tealeaf has broken his collarbone in a fall at his new job - isnt that a shame.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Wow karma paid him back very quickly, serves him right for taking advantage of your kindness in such an appalling way!

Well I've a few final UU/IN to report for February:

IN Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector/BB Cream sachet x 3 - arrived in the post today after I ordered it off the FB page last week (cheered me up after an absolutely awful day in work yesterday, sometimes I think I'm just a verbal punch bag in our office and as I'm in a more senior position I have to sit and take it to a certain extent  :() Has anyone tried this yet? I'd be interested to know what you think? Does it live up the hype?? Will give it a whirl in the morning.

UU S&G Bright Here, Bright Now - I absolutely love this and was a splutterer I was sad to see go - must admit I've already purchased a replacement which was a bit naughty but got it off Ebay less than half the price than Boots so feel so much less guilty even though there is similar product in the stash waiting to be used :o Not counting the new one as an IN yet as hasn't arrived so that'll be a March one :p

Got a list of swaps finally sorted out and posted on the FB group and also listed some items on Ebay and have a couple of bids there so hopefully will start March with a few outs - I am most definately in for next month :T

***Off to nip out for Cosmo.... You lot are a bad influence!! :rotfl: ***
  • Closing out Feb with a few UUs this week:

    1. Colgate Total toothpaste. WBA, 10+ years with no tooth problems (touch wood!), which I attribute to using this product. About once every 10 tubes I'll try something different, but I always come back to it.

I did the 'cut off the end of the tube trick' as seen here on this thread :T and on Superscrimpers, and sure enough, I got 4 good-sized more uses. Sheesh, and previously I would have just tossed it.

    2. Radox relax. Purplish colour, typical Radox-like scent. WBA, but I have 3 bath items to finish.

    3. Pantene perfect curl shampoo. WBA, but they seemed to have changed their product line since I bought this one. Like the Colgate Total, I've been using Pantene for years, it's the only thing that will keep my long wavy hair from becoming voluminous frizz. Plus, it goes on sale or is at £land enough.

Overall INs since starting the challenge: 5 tiny hotel sized freebies and 3 tubes of toothpaste. :A

    Roll on March and spring!
