Completely- works at Docklands and at Gatwick. Most aeroplanes are flown by computer and I have no issue flying so the London Underground would be an improvement.

    It will be worth it.

They already have them elsewhere and there is an override from a control room. 6 staff doing the job of 120 = big saving.

    Seems to work elsewhere:

How often do you hear of accidents on these?

Also the Victoria, Central and Jubilee lines are already capable of automatic train operation - I suspect they could be run like that quite quickly. The Northern line is also going that way this year.

It's a shame they are at it again. It's much better on both sides to have a civil arrangement between staff and bosses - a bit like this bus company:

Bob Crow is a truly nasty piece of work.

He is doing an excellent job at pricing tube drivers out of the Underground.

Driverless trains cannot come fast enough.

What percentage of tube drivers are in the RMT compared to ASLEF who I believe have already accepted a deal.
  • they should all be shot. if not, when the automated trains arrive, they should be tied to the front, like teddy bears on the front of trucks.

to be fair, if i was bob crow, i would demand 250k per driver a week before the games. he will get it. nothing will stop the "greatest show on earth".

    waste of money trash.
