I thought they had got the Olympics all sorted.
Just heard that they have turned down £500 quid extra for doing their normal job during the games.
Have I missed something?

Ordinarily people being made redundant is obviously not a good thing. But when the tubes go driverless (which they will in the end as the unions make it the only sensible business decision), I will be genuinely happy. Scumbags.0

Sad to see workers being suckered by their union, they can't see they are racing towards being replaced by unmanned automatic trains with stuff like this. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

The union gives them an artificially strong position. They don't earn what they do because there are so few who can do the job, they earn it simply because they can go on strike and can't be replaced. But they are fools. If they just quietly pocketed their £45k and kept it running smoothly, nobody would really care. Instead, at some point in the next 10 years they will all be getting their P45's.0
