    Went to the spiderman premiere tonight at didsbury. I have been to loads of screenings and this is the first one that I have had my mobile phone taken off me and been through a metal detector! It was then madnesss after the film had finished to get the phones back as people were everywhere. Think they need to be s bit more organized in future.

    So you missed the huge warning notice on the e-ticket in bold typeface which said -

    Security: These screenings will take place simultaneous with the London premiere and standard premiere-level security will be in operation. Bag searches will be performed for all guests. Mobile phones of any kind, any recording equipment and certain other electronic devices will be tagged and confiscated during the screening as they are not permitted in the cinema screen under any circumstances. These security measures will operate without exception. Please leave any mobile phones and other non-permitted items at home.

    :mad::mad:

    I was at the same show and the returning of the phones was very well handled as they allocated numbers to their own areas of the desk so you didn't have to queue. You only needed to go to which number group your ticket was from. Better than other times phones have been taken from people.

    didnt think it was that bad mobile handling bit unless you came out late

    But think they were bit OTT with all the security etc...

    enjoyed the film though:)

    How on earth did the human race ever survive and not become extinct prior to the last 15 to 20 years or so ..........

    If the constant thought that there might be an emergency for which having a mobile phone is a necessity , I'm not sure I'd get out of bed in the morning

    and ILC

    Back from watching Killer Joe.

    A dark, comical, movie at times disturbing.
    5 people, walked out at different stages, guess They found it offensive.
    William Friedkin fans must watch!
