It had nothing to do with it being a Metro screening. When Le Mis was showing earlier in the year people were turned away in droves because it was so popular, that was advertised in the Mail on Sunday. If a movie is popular lots of people will turn up and there are going to be people turned away. This film was a 3D IMAX screening, the first IMAX screening i've ever seen advertised, it was always going to be popular.
The Dark Knight Rises previews were also shown on IMAX. That was the first I can remember.0 -

And i'm assuming that was full to bursting also, because it was not only an IMAX screening but a very popular film.My friends were turned away from Liverpool ONE last night even though I had seats for them. They did go to see another film. Apparently, several were turned away last night.
Two of the men sat next to me in Manchester last night had come over from Liverpool because it was sold out.0 -

Not full to bursting because they don't use every seat in our IMAX but there were available seats that could have been used.
It's a sore subject with me tbh
But yes, it's definitely one of the more popular films.0 -

Oops, sorry I'm still half asleep. You meant TDKR. As far as I know the preview in Liverpool was full. I saw it on true IMAX in Manchester and that definitely was full to bursting. Press were at that show too.0 -
Saw the Thor double bill screening last night, at Vue cinema, prefer number 1 but a good watch. :j0

Virgin Movies First has opened for registration (on the 30th not the 31st as it states, which annoys me every time they do it) but just keeps saying 'No shows available.'0

As it says "coming soon" you will just have to wait until they are released.0
