Just tracked my goods with Parcelforce on their website...goods picked up at 16.14 from Unit 10A.0

Good luck, and I do mean it... will be interested in hearing how it turns out as others would I'm sure.... no one else here seems to have received much for their trouble and no matter how good a deal is, if the company provides shoddy service, questionable practices and non existant goods then it's hardly money saving in my opinion.

Hi folks. Good news, Mansion refunded the full amount to my step daughters credit card. Maybe they are just a young company trying hard in difficult times. Credit to them for keeping their word. I would say this suggests the rest of you shouldn't have too much of a problem either getting a refund or maybe even the goods. I do have to say that the excuses they came up with for the delays had us worried that they may not be reputable but they proved us wrong. I hope everyone else has a happy ending. Thanks, Deckhanddave0

deckhanddave - so glad to learn that all has worked out well for your step daughter. I've got to say that we were/are willing to give the 'benefit of the doubt' to them too. It also crossed our minds that perhaps they were a young company and didn't get their act together to deal with customers in an expected professional manner. I'll pass on your results to my friend and hope that he too gets a satisfactory outcome.0

Time will tell and I will be the first to warn others off if things go wrong.
There are prefectly legitimate reasons for all of the concerns that have been posted on this forum. "Mansion TV" is obviously a trading name under the umbrella of Red Saunas Ltd...it may well be that "Mansion TV Ltd" already exists elsewhere and was not available to them or it was irrelevant as the Directors knew they would use a trading name...totally legitimate and very common.
It is quite possible that the website is registered with their accountants address...maybe due to the fact that they hadn't secured premises...the fact that this is in Liverpool and the business premises is in Durham means nothing. My business registered address was my accountants home address...my job was to run the company, his job was to deal with the accounts and VAT, it makes sense that all correspondence from Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise (as it was known) goes directly to him and not to me. Anybody searching Companies House for my registered address would find some obscure house in Coulsden. Again, very common.
Having a company showing as "dormant" with Companies House isn't surprising as we all know they are a new business...it just means they haven't any transactions within the business but they still have to comply with their legal obligations...I would be more concerned if it showed "non-trading".
They no doubt have a minimum order quantity before placing an order with China...this is a high volume item and as such needs high volume production runs to be economic. Also, if they don't order a full containers worth (at least), they will have to "share" with other importers which can lead to delays in shipment if a third party cocks up.
It seems to me that they are relying on orders placed and monies received to finance production...they would have to be well established and have previous good trading to have any kind of credit with manufacturers they are using.
Although their sales techniques leave a lot to be desired there are positives...one forum member has received a refund along with a free good-will gesture...another received a refund shortly after sending a copy of email reporting the website as being fraudulent...they do answer the phone even though they have to come up with excuse after excuse...if they have had to obtain CE certification they have done a good job to get this in such a short space of time as it normally takes between 3-6 weeks (by the way, it is highly unlikely that a TV would fail CE approval as it isn't a life critical item and as long as it isn't obviously dangerous it will pass...even toys have to have CE approval but who bases their buying criteria on this?)
Finally, they are creating UK jobs that wouldn't have been there before even though the product is manufactured abroad...where would our car industry be if it weren't for Nissan? Personally I don't have a problem waiting a month for delivery as I'm not desperate for the TV but I can understand why they have incorporated delay tactics to minimize loss of sales...what do you expect, isn't that what sales is all about?
If I had read these posts before ordering I would most definitely gone elsewhere but being a customer I have a vested interest. Let's be sensible people and deal with facts rather than speculations bordering on paranoia. I will reserve my final judgement until Monday. As far as their pricing is concerned it isn't a case of "too good to be true"...they are only £20-30 cheaper than a very similar specked TV from Kogan, an Australian company who, no doubt, manufacture their product in their close neighbours China!0 -

As someone who only joined this forum three days ago, and who has only ever posted in this thread, you seem to be putting a lot of effort into finding excuses for this company.
Your last post alone was a 600+ word essay on the subject.
I wonder why you feel the need to put this much effort into such an essentially positive response when the company appears not to have delivered anything to you yet.
I wonder how credible your input will be should you come back on Monday and tell us how fantastic your new TV is.0 -
This is exactly what I mean by paranoia. Yes, I only joined three days ago but I have a vested interest as I have purchased the product...would you like me to email you my receipt? Advice should be given on fact and not speculation by wanna be experts or do-gooders looking for a conspiracy theory. If the TV does turn up on Monday I will tell it as it is with photos and documentation if necessary. The reason I have posted on this site is because it was the only one I could find that had any reference to Mansion TV. Innocent until proven guilty and also poor advice given on this site or anywhere else without actually knowing what you are talking about can be very damaging.
Maybe I have nothing better to do...you decide!0 -
Innocent until proven guilty and also poor advice given on this site
This is obviously a very important subject to you - responding to a post made during the middle of the night.
You seem to be suggesting that this company is being given unfair treatment, when we don't yet have any evidence of a single person having received the items that they purchased.
If you post photos of your fantastic new TV, how would we be able to distinguish them from something mocked up by the people behind Mansion?
I have no axe to grind on this subject - I'm just looking at the evidence available and saying that it doesn't look right. I've been here for a while. What are your credentials here?0 -
Yes it is important to me as I am almost £180 out of pocket with nothing to show for it!
The advice given so far has been poor and based on ill-informed information to the extent that it is laughable and it annoys me that other people looking for sound advice may judge doing their business in such hard times with a UK company without knowing fact from fiction.
ISO 9002 as a standard is far more relevant than any CE approval that has been such a big thing here...as someone who has manufactured life-critical products for medical applications and aerospace including landing gear electronic controls for the Airbus A320 I do know what I am talking about. What are your credentials apart from posting almost 5000 times?0 -

Ok, so you're up late on this.
So... please explain why you think that the information posted so far is "laughable".
You seem to be very concerned that we might be damaging the reputation of a company that appears to have delivered nothing to any of its customers. Why?0
