Yessterday was a NSD and today (hopefully!!) all I need to get at tesc@ are teabags and bread. Was going to try the value teabags and hope no-one notices but I don't know if I'm maybe pushing my luck here:D
I think the Sainsbo's value ones aren't too bad I've heard peope saying I drink decaf so i don't know. If you have a Home B@rgains near you they usually do the tetley 1 cup and typhoo for a pound.
Just wanted to add that I tried the Mr S value tea bags after a recomendation on here and haven't bought any others since. (Except Twinning Earl Grey which is my little indulgence). I like a medium strength tea. For 30p or so they are worth a try. No one I have served them to has noticed a difference.:D
2p to add to the price DH told me yesterday's mint sauce was as he got the price wrong
£3.70 to add for a kebab for DH tonight. I was good though and had a frozen pizza I already had in. I haven't enjoyed the last few takeaways we have had so tonight I stuck to my guns and didn't buy anything for myself. I feel very:A. Plus my pizza was £1 in Asda on special offer a while back and was really tasty.:)
I paid my MIL £20 today for DS meals/snacks which will cover him up until 28th Feb so I need to work out how much to take out of this month's budget. Next month I am just going to reduce my budget by the £20.
I need to make a meal plan and shopping list for next week's meal. I want to eat as much as possible from the cupboards and freezer to make my budget stretch as far as possible this month.
ETA: Decided to take £15 out of this month's budget and reduce March (starts 22nd Feb for me) by £25 to account for DS food at DMILSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Please put me down for £200 for February. Pretty well stocked, went a bit awry last month but back to meal planning so should hopefully achieve thisJanuary grocery challenge £159.43/£250.00

It was
:A
I meant to say the recipe is here if anyone wants to have a go.
I halved the recipe and used all sour cream rather than yogurt so that I didn't have to buy more than necessary
I didn't have the big sugar pearls either, so just used some chunky granulated.
Your bread looks fabulous! Must have a go at it.
Can you tell me how you changed your recipe link to 'here' that would be great :T
Wow I've only just found the February thread and 9 pages in already, I will never catch up:o

Had our first delivery for February from Mr A, stocked up on staples for the month plus enough meals to keep us going for the next 10-14 days. Both freezers are fit to burst, the plan is to use up as much as possible this time before re-stocking them so I can defrost them both over the next few weeks. Ended up coming in just under budget last month so hoping to do the same this month, fingers crossed.GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100

What I do is type the words I want to link, then highlight them and click the "Insert Link" icon. The link will then wrap itself around the highlighted words like this. (You can ignore this link, it just goes back to the OS forum listing)
You can also type it out as [ URL="your-url-here" ] your-words-here [ /URL ] - remove the spaces on either side of the square brackets, I just did that so it would show up as text instead of changing to a link.0 -
Hi all,
first post in February! Have used big chunk of Feb's budget already...need to update signature with more spends. Hoping for a small shop this week though, have some meat in freezer etc.
Thanks to all for all the encouragement.0 -
Hi All,
I am finally out of hospital with my new arrival however it means my February hasn't been to the best of starts - not that I am complaining!!
My mum has been doing my shopping for me and the receipts are only estimates as she has a tendency to forget about purchases / isn't bothered about the money back!!
Tesco - Main monthly shop £56.67
Asda - £12
Asda - £8
Bread / Milk - £3.70
I have updated my signature with my full total which is £297.33 / £3000
My hubby might be taking a shift change in the next few months which might mean a pay cut so I'd like to get on top of this spending before then.
I've had a few no spend days tooHoping to start tracking these
