Currys currently have Tefal Actifrys on offer £99!! Saving £70.99
Use mine for chips, roasties chicken. I use only 1 tabspoon of ex virgin oil as I am on Slimming World and chips are even more healthy. Just need to rinse well and dry as suggested. Maris piper best and roast potatoes are fab.
The original ones had no fans to cool. I have had mine ages, no issues.0 -

i am a member of slimming world and a few other members have one and swear by it for curries, chile and stir frys. i have not been brave enough yet but i will

We have been bought one as a present by my parents who love theirs. The chips are really nice in them, a definite improvement on frozen ones.
My mum has done a few recipes out of these books by Paul Brodel:-

The notable recipe is the Chicken Tikka Masala which I'm led to believe is really nice.Apparently I am the original tight fisted Yorkshire Man!!0 -

Hi
You'll need to browse a bit but there are a number of pointers and links in this thread...
Actifry

We do steak, bacon, cumberland sausage, chicken portions, roast potatoes, fish fingers, in fact almost anything that you would grill or roast providing it fits in, just remove the paddle and turn food over when done on one side.
Don't see why you can't do jacket spuds but would suggest giving 2 medium ones a zap for 5 mins in microwave, before finishing in actifry for around 30 mins, just turn them a couple of times so they bake evenly. Test with a skewer to make sure they're done.
We made a ring out of non stick baking sheet to fit in pan for use without paddle when dry roasting as the non stick coating is very poor quality."We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money."

Have had my actifry for 18 months and only used it for chips, potatoes and sausages but this morning I have cooked some chicken drumsticks with some garlic and herbs and they are amazing! A bit crispy on the outside and sooooo tasty! Have a batch of tikka marinated drumsticks cooking now, they smell lovely. :j
Have a feeling I will be getting a lot more use out of my actifry now, I like to keep some cooked chicken pieces in the fridge for my other half and son to snack on, they both play a lot of sport so much healthier to snack on some chicken than biscuits and crisps!0 -
Here are my garlic and herb actifry drumsticks.....0

Hi
I just bought an Actifry and the chips are lovely. Very impressive. However, when I attempted a veggie stirfry, it really dried up and went very crisp. Cabbage was like crispy seaweed! It ended up about a fifth of the size it went in! Am I doing something wrong? I just chucked it in with a teaspoon of oil. Are you supposed to add a stirfry sauce to keep it from drying out? Also, when you do chicken drummers or sausages, are you supposed to take the paddle out and turn them manually?
Thanks0
