It has been inadvisable to ignore for a long time now.
Why not inform yourself properly by reading the most current advice in the Newbies Sticky instead of hijacking out of date threads - this is no more than you already agreed to do on signup.0 -
Great forum. Many thanks. Having read this I have torn up the cheque I was about to post. Thought the Notice Reminder received from ParkingEye was dodgy and stank of bad attitude. So glad I checked this out.0

So you read a 2012 thread started more than 4 YEARS ago! Not very clever and I smell a rat for you bouncing this ancient thread.
Wanna get sued then? PE issued court papers to over 30,000 ordinary victim people in 2014 alone and continue in that vein now.
RIDICULOUS NOT TO READ CURRENT THREADS ONE CLICK AWAY!! JEEZ, IF YOU ARE GENUINE, READ THE FRONT PAGE AND LEARN ABOUT PE SUING PEOPLE AND HOW TO APPEAL.

I don't believe for one second that you are a victim of the PE monster, I think you are a parking company employee hoping other scared people will also ignore PE and get sued. Surely no-one Googling Parking Eye would be so stupid as to read this old out-of-date stuff.
How about getting a real job? How can people who work for parking firms live with themselves for ripping off people this way? Do you know what, giving something back to Society is a good thing. Try it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi
my brother and I went into the car park. We were reading their charges and left after 10 mins. We did not leave our car or the car park and left. We have now received court papers. Parking Eye is asking for £100.00 for our 10 min stay. ParkingEye has quoted a case ParkingEye vKandola (Preston County Court, 20th November 2013). It states that" I'm told there is a period of grace of [x] minute which is allowed and it seems that 13 mins does in fact exceed any reasonable de minimus period". However,on searching on line,[STRIKE] Parkingeye v Kandola[/STRIKE] a line through it and I cannot find it on line.
Our case is different . We were not overstaying - we just drove in read the terms and conditions and drove out after 10 mins. they have sent us a letter confirming our ten minute stay. How do we fight this when Parkingeye v Kandola does not seem to exist?0 -

Well to start with you start your own thread instead of confusing things by tagging on to one that was started in 2012, which was a milestone year and will confuse anyone else wading through this.
Your case is no different, and yes grace periods do apply.0
