Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, my MP is Tony Blair!!
Do you actually think that he would take any notice/action about MBNA?
Yes he will. All you want is a straight answer (hmm maybe more difficult than I thought...) as to who has the legislative responsibility for enforcing the law in this case, OFT or TSO.
It should be done quicker, TBH."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

In our constituency the MP never ever takes an MP's Surgery. Tony Blair arrives at the balloting headquarters, which is in Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, only on election night. He visits Myrobella House at Trimdon Station - the house he bought when he wanted to run as MP for the Sedgefield Constituency - but that is it. So I couldn't get at him face-to-face either.
I will give it a try, though, see what happens!0 -

I wasn't expecting anyone to get him face-to-face, I was expecting a letter to him, opened by one of his assistants, who would email another assistant in London. Then after a couple of days an email would come back, and the first assistant would send back a letter saying "It's...." with Tony Blair's signature on the bottom.
If that doesn't work I expect all MSE'ers in that area to frequent the working mens clubs and telling any Labour Association member they can lay their hands on that he's a really crap MP who doesn't even answer the letters of his voters.
He talks to them because they have power..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

The reason that TB frequents the WMC in Trimdon is that it is an area of rank Labour supporters!
I do know the lady who goes to Myrabella House every day to open Tony's personal mail................... but we never discuss politics - I cannot stand Cherie Blair at any price. Also, many many moons ago, I was Secretary of our local Conservative Association when Mrs. T was PM - whatever your political leanings that woman is a true lady.
I will see what I can do!0 -

There are other areas with loads of Labour supporters. These just happen to be the Labour supporters who have the power to deselect him. You might think that's unlikely, but why should he take the risk?shameless-about-money wrote:I cannot stand Cherie Blair at any price.
You talk like that's unusual. To have become Mrs Blair, or Mrs anything she must have something that doesn't meet the eye...shameless-about-money wrote:I will see what I can do!

Hi Looby
I have had several calls from MBNA.....up umtil yesterday they were all outrageous, downright rude and threatening alsorts....like calling my work speaking to my employer coming round the house.....to name a few....
Yesterday I had a lady ring who was JUSt lovely and very apologetic about her * colleagues* she said you can report them to the OFT as it is harrassment.
It has been said on here and other debt help question groups that you can do that.
So guess what I will be doing next time.......I know a lot of people who dont even answer the phone or change their number.......

As I said earlier, the OFT don't want to know!
What it really needs is for someone to take MBNA to court for harrassment!0
