Hi all, can I join in please? I doubt I'll make 7lbs this month for various reasons, but that's no reason not to aim for it!

    Got you Svenena :D
O.k. I weighed in this morning at 140.5 lb. Which is a pound off from last week. This is not that good since when I weighed myself on Wednesday I had got just under the ten stone mark which was a great feeling. On the other hand I am so full of cold I have been unable to exercise at all so I wasn't really expecting anything. I thought i was feeling a bit better today so I went on the treadmill but after just ten minutes I was exhausted and had to lie down for two whole hours:eek:
Even if I start to feel better it is still going to be a difficult weekend. My father in law has had a stroke and my DH has gone to Dorset to be with his mum. My daughter is due to be having her teenage friends around for her birthday sleep over on Saturday and we are expecting 10 cm of snow. Not sure where my healthy eating plan will fit in. The week after is half term and I am planning to have a really good week then to make up for it.

Is this your weigh in? and sorry to hear things are not good in your neck of the woods :(

  • Yes Dragon that is my weigh in. Still waiting for my DH to phone with news. It's hard to get an accurate picture when we are so far away.
My daughters friends have arrived for their sleepover. I must admit I I'd worried that some might not come because of the snow forecast. Still what is worse than four teenage girls at a sleepover? Answer four teenage girls for a sleepover snowed in the next day.:rotfl:
We live in a small rural village so it is not impossible.
Back to weight loss stuff. I went for a very chilly walk on the fens. I had one slice of pizza with 500 cals and a large salad. Now so long as I resist the rubbish the girls are eating tonight and ignore the chocolate birthday cake I will be o.k.:o. I also sneaked a peak on the scales and the first number was a 9 so I am hopeful for next Fridays weigh in.

How are you feeling now Dragon?

    Hi all,

Can you add me to the list again please Dragon, after abandoning my January efforts, half way through, I only lost 2lbs in total. I do hope to do better this month. It's got to the point where my work shirts are embarrasingly tight and I know I keep saying this, but I HAVE got to do something about it now.

We have another family birthday gathering on the 18th, but I'm doing the food, so have no excuse as I can plan a low calorie menu. Otherwise no other events to throw me off course, as hubby is under strict instruction - no chocolates for valentines!

Well done to everyone for their January weight loss - fantastic group total! Sorry I didn't help much.

Finally, sorry to hear you are suffering Dragon, hope you feel better soon and thanks again for keeping the thread going!

Morning all. I'm going to continue weighing on a Sunday for this month as I also log on MFP. Three pounds off for me this week, down to 162lbs x
Smashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j
  • O.k. Not a weight loss issue but this could be the longest sleepover ever. At least six inches of snow.....forget the sleep bit, they are asleep now but at 1.00am they were having snowball fights.........aaaarrgh. I resisted the birthday cake but caved in on another small slice of pizza. Should get lots of exercise shovelling snow:D

Hi dragon, please can you add me. I had a bad January, spent a week off with a slipped disc, and diagnosis confirmed for a hip problem that means I can't do my belly dancing or zumba, or any impact exercise. I can walk, cycle with high saddle or use cross-trainer and I get bored so easy in a gym I never last long enough to burn much off! And I've been comfort eating when I hurt!! Must get back in focus!!
I weighed in today at 153.5 so can you put that as my sw please...at least that was 3lb off from my Jan sw so it could be worse. Not sure if I'll reach for 7 but at least having some incentive to weigh in and declare if I've failed may keep me on the slightly straight and narrow!

When do you want my weight for recording purposes? I weighed 66.6 kg this morning, that's down 0.4 kg since the 1st. Wednesday will be a week into the month - do you want it then?

Which ever day suits you - but just make sure I can tell it is a weigh in (I am a Dragon of Very Little Brain [to paraphrase Winnie the Pooh!])
