Hi everyone.
I've dipped in and out of these threads briefly in the past but not really got very far. In the past I've always had an occasion or other to aim for-my wedding, brother's wedding, a holiday etc , but this time I'm doing it purely because...I'm fed up of being overweight.
I want to lose 5 stone this year and am absolutely determined I will do it. I began on 9th January and so far have lost 12lbs. I knew from previous experience that the weight would come off quickly in the first month or so and now I'm ready to begin February by aiming for 7lbs a month. My plan is to lose this every month (except August maybe when we'll hopefully be off on our summer hols) and that I will be at my target weight by Novemberish.
I am so motivated and excited by this and know this time I WILL be slim!
So hope it's ok for me to join you all. Looking forward to sharing the ups and downs of weight loss with you all and having somewhere to 'report in' to to give me that extra push hehe!
Good luck to you all for Feb...we CAN do this!
And Dragon, hope you're on the mend soon!

Hi Dragon, I think I may give this a go. I need to lose 7lbs...I am now down to only 3 outfits I can wear as everything else is a bit too tight
Slipped back up to a 16 from a 14 by putting on 7 lbs.
I keep trying to lose it and not succeeding so think I'll see if signing up for this will help the resolve.
Will weigh in tomorrow for the start.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I'm not sure I can do this month, I commented on the other post. I had an accident on Friday and am pretty much on bed/sofa rest for at least 2 weeks and at the most light exercise for a month depending on how my body feels really so very much doubt I'll lose anything without my normal amount of exercise.
Could I join in but my only goal is to maintain my weight and not put any on.0
