Ringtons cold calling - new tactic

I take back what I said earlier about Ringtons being a reputable company. I have received an EMail response to my complaint. In it is the following unbelievable paragraph.
"As a business, like any other, we are always looking for new business and it is extremely difficult for us, as we do not have any retail outlets. If we did not knock on doors with signs about cold calling that would rule out most houses. In most instances, houses with no cold calling signs are happy to talk to us, however we understand that this is not always the case."
Why they think they are any different to double glazing salesmen (who usually don't have retail outlets either) is beyond me.0 -
It would be pretty cool though, wouldn't it?
"I really need to take a dump, but that damned puppy is late."

I would forward that to Trading Standards. From my own experiences, they tend to take a very dim view of this kind of behaviour. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
