Oven pride did everything else but not the hob  what would you all recommend?
Do you mean your black ceramic hob?
If so then Spotless by JML is great. If you cant get hold of that then Barkeeper's Friend is good too + elbow grease. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
i use oven pride once or twice a year but in between i use tesco value scrubbers (metal with pink cleaner stuff already in). I think they are best thing ive tried as they only thing i can get the glass door completely clean with tooHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

while theres a chat on oven pride- can I just ask others for some advice?
weve got a wide range cooker, I LOVE LOVE LOVE oven pride (used it as seen peeps rave about it on here) but -the poly bag isnt big enough to put the shelves in totally they are too long/wide...anybody else have similar probs?
was wondering what to do next time, whether to buy two packs, stick a bag on either end, and tape it up?
Or I ve heard they do a 'BBQ pride' and was wondering if the poly bag is bigger?
any advice appreciated thankyou0 -
Used oven pride for the first time recently and have to say contrary to all here, it is not very good. I find Dr Beckmann is much better. We don't have a problem with our racks though as we dishwash them and taht works very well.0

I read a while back about cleaning the glass from the oven door by soaking in bio washing powder overnight in the bath - well I eventually got around to it last night and have cleaned it this morning and I can see into my oven now!!:eek::D:D
So, thankyou OS MSEers for teaching me something new and amazing! I'm really pleased!:T:TRule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Ooooh - I missed that tip! I shall be doing that tonight!
Now, if I could only figure out a way of getting the rest of the oven into the bath I'm sorted! :rotfl:
oh - brainwave - I could make a paste with Bio powder and smear it over the bottom of the oven - would that work? Anyone tried that?
Sorry cazzie - I've hijacked your thread! You had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -

The bottom of my oven is covered in burnt on food and I've tried really hard to remove it. I've tried stuff like Mr Muscle but its still not shifting. The oven really badly smokes when at a high temperature because of the burnt on food so I really badly need to remove the stuff! Any help on what will get rid of the stubborn burnt on bits?0
