Can you use it on the bottom of the oven too? I'm quite happy to help them scrub the shelves but I can't bend to the floor of the oven for prolonged scrubbing, plus I hate the fume stuff, and she'd also have problems since having abdominal surgery. Her partner is currently working and living away a lot of the time so not a huge amount of help there. I guess we're hoping for a miracle product that can be sprayed onto the oven floor and later wipe/scrape away without busting a gut (in her case maybe that's not the best choice of phrase!)0

I do , but even if you only manage to get it looking better, buy the Lakeland oven mats , cut to size , cover the oven floor0 -
Sorry but think this stuff is so good it need sharing!
Its called Astonish and it costs.....£1!!!!!!!!! It is brilliant at bringing off really hard to scrub off stuff in the oven, much better than the more well known makes.
Just wanted to share it, you can get it in wilkies, and most supermarkets.
Hope no one minds me posting it, but it really is THAT good0 -
I agree with you. Astonish products are excellent and a good range can be found in Home Bargains.SallyD0

Good for stubborn stains on glass oven doors and Pyrex too...The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

Astonish products have been about, to my knowledge, for 30+ years. It's a bit like the Stardrops range, fell out of favour because of so many 'new, improved' products coming on to the market. The ad men know how to sell, it's their job, but in truth the old 'uns are still the best, most efficient on usually cheapest0
