I did it 3 Stars for Me , woop woop

    nicola00 3 bags

How did everyone else do this week ?
  • Please can I join your challenge... have got loads of stuff around the house that I can sell...

Have done a bit of selling before on ebay, but got fed up with how long it took me to list.. (I hadn't heard of turbolister or auctiva until reading this thread !)

Really need to increase my cash, so put me down for one bag a week please
  • Hi Guys,

I used to ebay a lot (should still have some useful ebay knowledge in me) but really really lost motivation to list, despite lacking motivation i still kept saying yes when one of my sisters or mum offered me a bag of unwanted clothes, now there is just soo much :O I am determined that this year i will shift some of it. But have had to set my self a very realistic target or there's a big risk it'll totally get on top of me again. One of my new years resolutions is to list the equivalent one new item a day (or 7 a week). So far so good have even managed extra on free listing weekends :) Hopefully joining this challenge will help keep me motivated to continue. I think my seven items a week should equal one bag. sleepless

    sleepless one bag please

slowly losing the will , 18 parcels all ready to go, only another 15 or so to still get ready to take to the PO today.................

Seen someone mention Paypal micro payments, I don't know anything about them but may need to look into that as just working out the £'s after fees and I've paid 0.32p-0.39p to paypal on my 99p items GGRRRRR!

    What's micro payments?

I don't actually know what the fees are for paypal, hadn't thought much about that side of it, more 'what did i make' than 'how much will it cost me' :o

PayPal offers support for Micropayments to merchants for US to US, GB to GB, AU to AU, and EU to EU transactions for Business and Premier accounts. This feature is offered at a special rate of 5% + $0.05 per transaction.

haven't read into the ins and outs yet and would have to work out the pro's and cons. But on smaller payments would def be better

Not sure how you would specify which payments you want micro, thinking maybe a separate ebay account only for micro...... downside of that is the ratings I've built up, not sure really maybe someone else can shed more light

    Paypal standard fees are 1.4% - 3.4% + 20p

Ive just looked at the micropayments and I think you just need to set it up with a different email to your normal paypal account and if the payment including postage is less than £9.50 you will benefit.
It does mean using different email addresses for the different paypal accounts but when you are selling you can enter the appropriate email in the payment box. The difficulty with auctions is guessing how much they will sell for! I do often sell things for 99p so for those items think I will use the micro account if I remember! The more expensive items I will use my normal paypal

So sellers fees.... If I use standard paypal like I am now, an item sells for 99p, I will pay between 1.4-3.4% +20p, so fees of 21p-23p for that item?

With micro payments, a 99p sale would be 10p-ish

    Is that right?

it looks like you have to be a business to have a micro account?
