    Hi,

Sorry been a bit AWOL recently just not finding time to list on ebay. I did manage to get a micro payments account on though. You need to open a business account on paypal, I read somewhere on this forum that its ok to do so. Once thats opened you need this link micropayments.paypal-labs.com/

I am just using the micro account for small items and the fees are definitely less, I sold something for a total of £3.99 and the fees were 25p. You need to be careful with the micro account as the fees can be higher than the normal account I think if you sell something for over a certain amount.

This explains it well - cgi3.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=vallombrosa2

cheers very much twiglet, im going to go ahead and sort out a micro account :T well worth it

  • Well i listed 14 items yesterday :)

I have only done one listing today. But i have probably a sorted & pictured enough items to keep me going for at least the next month :p

On the downside i have no idea what to do with these items that are now waiting to be listed, and no idea where they originally came from as i certainly don't have any extra space....so i have left them piled on the bed in the back room and shut the door (not good as i supposed to be getting a housemate). :(

Only got 3 bids on 60 or so items too, feeling a little disheartned today :o

I struggle with storing my Eb.. items. Sometimes I think I will cs the ones that haven't sold even after they have been relisted. Then I think - I will relist them once more and some sell!

I'm still waiting for my auctions to end. Next Monday and Tuesday evenings they will finish. That way I get another weekend out of them.
I had a vanishing bid yesterday though. I can't even find a bid retraction on the item so not got a clue what's happened to it. Very odd. I'm up to about £74 so far on 5 items. Just hope I manage to sell everything. At least that way I'll have more space. 2 of the items that are going are quite bulky though so they'll free up some storage space when they're gone.

I'm getting kind of worried, items sold Sunday, posted first class Monday and not had any feedback yet. What's the norm? Should I be worried?

Please can I join in too ..... I have a lot of stuff to get rid of but I really simply can't be bothered to list things which I know is dreadful and really lazy. I've just put on 2 things and I'm going to have to at least put on say 2 items a day and schedule them for the weekend - and then at the weekend take them off schedule and put on to list immediately iykwim ;).

To be honest I'm not bothered about stars, just need motivation and support to actually do the listings!

    Many thanks :)

I wouldn't worry. Some people leave feedback straight away, some days or weeks later or not at all. Most of my feedback has been after a week or so of posting :)
  • Just a quick update. Sorted out 3 bags for this week today and took pics of all item. Listed one bag tonight, tough going though as I'm feeling very tired. Off to bed shortly, keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow night as some of my items are finishing then.

Work on the no news is good news theory, if your buyers weren't happy you would soon know about it.
    Not everybody leaves FB.
A very touchy subject over on the ebay board is when you leave FB.
I always leave FB for items I sell when I get home from posting, so that I can mark despatched & leave FB. Unless I've had to open a NPB, then I don't leave any.
As a buyer I won't leave FB until the seller has.
ETA, don't ever be tempted to contact your buyers & ask for feedback, that really annoys people. They get reminders from ebay, that gets some people cross.

Great stuff Well off to a superman.gif start :D

I am the same with mine - I have recently been looking at completed listing and i personally have decided to hold off for a bit . I found when i did the same with winter clothes I did the best just before the season started -End of August / beg Sept .

So for summer stuff I am looking at April mid - end or later . As just in time for people to receive for May day bank holidays when the weather starts to change and people start thinking of days out and summer and school holidays :o

Great, thanks for this. Guess I'll wait a bit as well.
