water saving

I got one of these a few months ago from another thread on here and it is brilliant!
When I first moved into my house the shower was sooo powerful that you couldn't actually stand under it. Fitting one of these egga things made the water much softer. AND it saves water and, thus, money! Wooohooo all round!'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. That's how British I am' Constantine-Simms. :T

I got mine a few weeks ago and it's working beautifully. It comes with a little plastic bag that you do a quick test with to see if the washer thingy will work in your shower. Also when fitting it, it leaked for a minute at first until the little rubber washery things (sorry I'm no plumber) got wet and then they seemed to expand slightly to fill the space and the leaking stopped.0

I got one of these and it turned out didn't fit my shower. Its a sort of bit of piping you put on the shower head.0

Cheers for this! :cool:0

It's not going to work on an electric shower.0

This pops up again and again, but it's an abslolute load of rubbish. I ordered and received one a while ago.
All it does it reduce the water flow, and there have been many reports of constant leaking from it.
To save your time, I'll give you a free money saving tip that eliminates the need to order this pointless gadget- Don't turn your shower on as hard as normal and don't shower for as long!
Alternatively, if you would to see a dramatic fall in your water bills- this tip is for you- don't use the shower, stand out in the rain. When there is no rain, find a nearby pond/river/ocean.0
