The eaga ShowerSmart is suitable for use with non-electric mixer showers or bath/shower mixer taps, provided they run off the mains water pressure.

  • Hi,

I didn't realise 3 different posts had been put up, i was not able to see any of the posts initially, so i tried posting in a different section...

sorry if this is against 'house rules' or anything like that - I kept getting messages about "this page page is to PROVIDE offers, if you are REQUESTING then click here", or something similar to that...

    apologies!!

just researching this on google, linked to this page.
a guy came round the other day offering something like this, but i refused it as i dont take anything not addressed to me. he said they werent allowed to just post them but they were from the same people who give away free energy light bulbs. i didnt ask for id and he was suprised at my refusal for something free but there you go.
from the plumbers post, seems like a waste anyway, if they can only be used on taps (not electric) then i always 1/2 turn the water anyway as a like a soft flow so im probs saving money anyway!
Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)

new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,000
  • Its bit silly, that device is totally pointless! Like everyone is saying just dont open the shower fully, thats what the flow control on your shower is for! Its a no brainer!! If u have a need to use a such device, just pop down at a plumbing shop and buy a flow restriction washer to replace a washer thats already inside between the hose and shower head which costs pennies hey even u probably can get one for free!

devilchef you may find it easier to search the url before posting as unfortunately a lot of your posts have been duplicates. By searching the url it comes up with duplicates a lot more than just searching the title alone.

I wonder how much pollution is created (CO2 or otherwise) in making these pointless devices; especially when (as already pointed out) a similar outcome can be produced by simply reducing water flow by using the taps!
