Might be worth signing up to which for a free trial. I found it was best to call them as I got 2 months for £2 and 2 copies of their mag. They did a feature in the dec 2011 one. Makes intresting reading. hth
Does your mum have pre exsisting medical conditions ?

Oooh thanks for that. I did sign up for the £1 trial with the £15 of John Lewis/Waitrose vouchers and found the magazine very interesting :)

We both do unfortunately :( Both of us have had blood clots and are on Warfarin. I also have SLE (Lupus) and Mum has something called Bechet's (both illnesses affect out immune system and cause arthritic joints) Then we've both got Osteoporosis and a few other things in the mix too.

When we went to Orlando in 2004 it cost £800 for 2 1/2 weeks health insurance and that was before my blood clotting problems were confirmed  I dread to think what it would be now :(:(:(:mad::mad: Some people get all the luck eh?! :o:p

I know that feeling all too well lol but the sorting office in r0chdal3 is only a few mins away in car so it aint all that bad:)
We are many we are one xxx

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

Thank you very much for the recommendation but I'm 24 and Mum's 50 so no good for us :o

With regards to recommendations I also meant if anyone has any good ideas for holiday destinations and/or nice hotels, tahat would be fab! Many thanks Elite

Ermm - actually I was thinking of your Mum coz I think they cover from 50 onwards. You could also check on the insurance tab at the top of the page - also remember that Topcashback does insurance Fudgie and might be worth checking out hth:)

Used to work with a girl that walked to work with plastic bags over her boots whenever it snowed. Not sure whether it worked as I never tried it myself but would imagine you don't need to be bothered about looking a bit of a burk lol:D:D

I've heard of old socks to give grip but not plasric bags ... unless she was trying to waterproof them or to prevent them getting a white snow line?

I think you have to pm snap-ant TS. Password has only recently been added, so those who were playing before got automatically added.

No, she actually said they stopped her from slipping. Suppose the upside is they don't actually cost much if they don't work:D
