This is what insurers hope will happen, my sister said she didnt want to change as they were very good and she never had any bother with them. She also never claimed so of course she didnt have any bother with them, and as for being good???
Have a look at TCB or Quidco.
I change all my insurances every year and get loads of cash back.rufydoofyM wrote: »:eek::eek:
Yes I go on all the comparison sites then check the direct online sites that don't subscribe to the comparison sites. Then I call them direct and play them off against each other. It is shocking :mad: how much you can save. Recently got MIL to do this rather tan trusting the nice man at the company she has used for the last 8 years for her car ins. She was so thrilled and proud to have saved over £100 !
Am currently searching for car ins due next moth and the quotes range from £26 to £44 a moth and I'm determined to get it below £25 without compromising the cover.
Have to admit I'm a bit OCD but it pays off :rotfl:
Try playing around with the employment status if applicacable. theres a bit on mse about it. Unemployed costs more with some than unemployed for medical reasons for example. hth
Thanks guys i'm gonna have a good look round and hopefully save myself a few quid:beer:

When I was on a 12 hour contract per week and needed to be doing 16 hours I used my self employed time to make up the other 4 hours. I was asked some quite searching questions by the Tax Credit peeps so I would want to make sure I have enough evidence this time for the extra 6 hours per week. This year I've been quite slack and not taken on as many jobs (hmmm I wonder what I've been doing in my spare time?;))
And yes I include all the above but so far this year I would only be able to prove about an average of 3.5 hours per week. Still I've got time for another 30 or 40 jobs before April 4, its do-able
Don't forget the 4 hours you spent earlier and the 4 hours you will spend later re-doing the work you did earlier :rotfl:If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
Good afternoon all. I don't tend to post much although I am on here everyday. I just love to read all the chat & seem to forget I could join in!
Now I have something to report. I found some of the mug easter eggs SEL £3 I bought 4 munchies (love these) 2 kit kat & 2 yorkie. Went to get my DTD. Followed sa & pointed out that these were in separate stacks away from the other easter stuff but because the Kit Kat stacks didn't have a SEL she said I couldn't have DTD on them so I returned them. But I've figured out she didn't give me enough DTD & I am owed £4.
Anyway, when I got home there was an item I didn't recognise on my receipt 1 nestle yorkie milk 0.52. It seems like one of the bars inside the easter egg box has scanned at the same time!:eek: Should I complain via head office or contact sir Philip? Has this happened to anyone else before?0 -
I'm always wary of using Kwik Fit after a couple of bad experiences:( There are also a lot of negative comments about Kwik Fit on other threads.
I used to work for a fleet management company in swindon, one day we had a copy of a letter sent to the kwik-fit MD from one of the clients ( a Natwest bank manager)
He had gone to kwik-fit for a puncture but whilst there they told him the tyre was beyond repair and that he needed 3 new tyres as they were below the legal limit. The letter went into a lot of detail of what the client thought of the staff and service he encountered.
It turned out he had had 2 new tyres fitted a couple of days earlier so knew nothing needed changing and had the puncture fixed somewhere else later.
Never did find out what happened after that.0 -

As far as I am aware, you do not need to provide actual evidence of the number of hours you work. As you are genuinely only a few hours a week short, would you reach the target if you included the time spent doing preparation and paperwork?
If you are self-employed then I would consider any time spent doing anything work-related should count so with a mystery shopping trip for example I would count the time spent reading the job spec, travelling to the job, doing the job, travelling back from the job and submitting the report as being time worked.
Keeping a record of all your jobs, income and expenses is also time consuming - can you count a couple of hours a week as hours worked if you need that time to keep your books up to date?
I would have thought so as well. Even if you don't have a paying client you shouldn't forget your own training and development and customer/client research etc. OK not "billable" but definitely a "charge" against your time. I was hoping to use these would cover me ... I'm stumped if they don't.0 -

I bought a frozen 900g stuffed Pork Loin Joint for £1.25 - again, Christmas range, blue box this time.
Neither of these had any sel.
Thanks for info will look out for these:beer:We are many we are one xxx
