My first attempt at making a sponge:
Spend 5 minutes trying to fit the "turny" bits of the electric whisk on to the electric knife.
Google "cream butter and sugar until pale" and watch the video on YouTube.
Put butter and sugar in bowl and cream until I am looking pale and wan.
Beat in eggs (easy peasy) and sift (aye aye!) in flour.
Pour mixture into sponge tins and bake at 180 degrees.
20-ish minutes later, remove from oven, cool for 5 minutes and remove from tins.
Look perplexed at flat, sticky things.
Cut a small piece off one of the flat, sticky things and taste.
Throw flat, sticky things into the bin.
Find a Penguin biscuit in kitchen cupboard and forget all baking aspirations.

Did you use self raising flour?.....as plain flour would probably produce flat things (cakes), not sure why they were sticky though?

Can anyone help me (well my friend really). A couple of weeks ago my friend came out of work to find someone had hit her car and drove off, there was obvious damage so she went to security to ask for cctv, they have just got back to her and said she has to submit a written request and pay £10 is that right or even legal?
It's called a subject access request and yes, they can charge a fee of up to £10 for it. Technically you only have the right to access CCTV of you, not the car park, so if they're offering for £10 it's probably worth taking, although most CCTV isn't good enough quality to get a numberplate from.

This happened to my oh a few months ago. Best course of action is to contact local police and get ref No for insurance and ask them if they can get the CCTV checked at the time of incident. hth

This is actually adapted from a SW receipe, but useful for anyone eating very low fat.

    Choc Mousse

Mix 400g fat free fromage frais, 100g Quark, 2 sachets of Highlights hot choc & 1 tablespoon of artificial sweeters (I acually add 1.5 tablespoon of the sweetener) then put into 4 glasses & chill. It's really good for a fat free pud.

Actually, very good point as I do check the individual sites too. All of which is probably why I use Pricecheck less and less these days as I just don't have the time to do the legwork in checking prices and APG gives a better and more reliable return.

Does the Trolleychecker site still exist?

it exists but even less reliable then MSM and often not up to date:( I look there sometimes to see if I missed any good A price or something I buy often might be on JTD
    Hi all
Totally o/t but Boots in the Metro Centre was 2 huge stands full of chocolate coins for 10p a bag. They are just next to the tills down stairs.

Nice little treat for the kids for 10p!

    10p!!! 10 times more then mr T! :p :rotfl:
