Apart from supermarkets I wouldn't touch a lot of high street shares. When things get tough what are you going to give up? food or clothes/dvds/cars etc:)Awaiting a new sig0 -
:oMust admit that I've done this once or twice but only with a one or two items in a basket. I was a bit embarrassed when I approached the really nice guy who often does the reductions to do this. He frowned and said that's really naughty but laughed and said everybody does it, laughed again, and reduced the items and said don't do it again (with a wink). Hope this doesn't make me a bad person:)
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -

Shareholders have the slightly smug view that all of Mr T's minnions are working hard for them
Drip feeding market is ideal, but every now and then the SP drops below NAV ( net asset value).
When that happens the big city institution jump in and buy a few million £'s worth.
Tend to follow them albeit on a smaller scale.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

Evening guys - Mam was sleepy today when I went to see her at lunchtime. She ate her dinner and pud but very slowly, and I am sure she would have been going to sleep when I left. My sister was there tonight for dinnertime and Mam's chest wheezy again, but otherwise ok. I am hoping to see Mam in her chair tomorrow as they take her down to the in-home salon in a wheelchair now. This would be the first time I have seen her in a chair for 14 months, so I am looking forward to that :j :j They have only started to put her in her chair in the last few months, and it makes a change for her, especially when they wheel her up to the dining room, etc - much better than the same 4 walls she has been staring at for the previously 10 or 11 months, and the change of position is good too as she is so sore with being in bed for this long
Hi 3dogs, that sounds like your mam is in a good home. I remember the first time I found my mum sitting up in hospital after her spinal op, it was so much nicer for her to see what was going on around her and felt so much more "normal" if you know what I mean. Have a lovely visit tomorrow. And hugs to you both. x0 -

I don't need to give up anything, I have an Asda, Tesco, Sainsbobs and a Morries close to me. Sainsbobs are price checking against Asda which is enough for me to swap from Ts. If they don't get their act together, there is no need for me to got there... OK I am just one customer, how many more people can say the same? Let's wait and find out shall we...
Oh I should mention that I have a couple of T's expresses close by and a couple of co-ops. How much loyalty do you think there is to Ts if there are no offers/bargains to be found?Avatar courtesey of HC :beer:0 -

They have tried taking mine away too but I stood my ground and said they were my credit card receipts and I wasn't prepared to let them have them.
From what I gather there have been a lot of problems with misuse of the Price Check vouchers. They want to make sure that people don't have the opportunity to use them more than once. Just ask them to mark the receipt to record that it has been used for Price Check and you should be fine0 -
All caught up now, not too many pages this evening! Off to bed now, night all0
