    Good evening all :D

Just had to take my Christmas tree down
I shall be writing a very strong worded email to B&Q tomorrow
I'd do the same Mad if it was me. I assume your email will be to explain that the tree was not fit for purpose and only lasted 10 weeks?? Shocking!!

:T Amazing stuff & painted sand - The Pavillion & seeing Pam Eyres :o Day trips to Jersey - the boat - yes! to get to the other side. Love The Seagull fish & chips.
Sidney Hall - roller skating (became Asda) The cat & mouse at the Fun fair.
Portland fair where the street is closed - The Rotor - did we feel sick :(

I think I saw Pam Eyres once down there on holiday. I was crossing the road in sainsburys carpark (on a crossing) and she nearly ran me over .

My first thought was that it was someone from home, and that it was a coincidence we were on holiday in the same place as she looked so familiar, then I realised who she was.

OMG I'm going to have to stop otherwise I'll take over the whole thread with my memories. The cat & mouse at the permanent funfair, I had a holiday romance with the boy that worked on it when I was sweet sixteen:o:oAnd Pam Eyres at the pavilion! and yes I went to Jersey on the boat, that was like a major adventure!!And spending the day sunbathing at the Nothe Gardens because it was quieter than the beach(And because my nan & grandad owned a little fishermans cottage at the Nothe that they let out to the grockels and we used to have a week every August) and my dad giving me 10p for jumping off the cliffs into the sea at Portland:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:And being amazed by the trains that came along the harbour. Memories;)

Finally caught up, another 2 days worth, pc back on blink again, somehow I managed to mess up the transfer that OH started to make the pc better!

Anyway forgetting my manners, evening all. Massive hugs to those in need, I would name names but I wouldn't want to offend anyone by missing anyone out as I have read a lot of pages :o

Someone asked about T's doing a pending payment with a new card, yes they do, and it's annoying! I had £5 on the orange prepayment card ordered something that was 4.99 but they reserved £1 meaning I did not have enough, I complained and was told it was in T&C's but I genuinely could not find it, it took a week to come back onto the card and by that time item was out of stock.

I saw something online the other day but can not remember where it was may have even been on here but for the teachers on here, you can get a free potato growing kit for your school. I think the website is http://www.gyop.potato.org.uk/

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

May have imagined it but did I read somewhere that it's final reductions on all the Xmas T stuff starting tomorrow?

Oooh that would be good. Would that be on the mugs and wrapping paper, and things like that?

Does anyone have any more info please?

now then, I happened to go to a different Tesco last week. They had 'scan and go' machines, which I have not seen in any other tescos. Does anyone else use these?

Just wondering if they are useful for..

    1) checking if items are scanning at 1p, especially for stores without working price checkers
    2) avoiding the SS and the possibility of being trouted before you have pressed 'finish and pay'

I assume that as you scan as you go round, it all happens pretty fast when you get to the pay station. Anyone have them at their local store? Do they help?

On the corner opposite the Echo?

Yes I LOVE that shop, it's so quaint and old fashioned, perfect :D Always used to get our sausage and chips and sit on the harbour wall to eat them...surrounded by seagulls!! :p

You made me say "Aaahhh" out loud when you mentioned the sandman. My fave memory is the donkey rides on the beach and feeding the swans everyday in the harbour:)

I know, the sandman is awesome!!! :D Was so glad that his son took over :) Yep I always had a donkey ride on the beach too and used to beg my Mum to let me go on the trampolines! I always thought it was the 'cool' kids on the trampolines :rotfl:

Awww we always parked by the lake with the swans and peddle boats :D Lovely little walk into town. When I used to go under the underpass painted with boats, I felt like I was really on holiday! :D
