Have had a run in with this hospital with someone i use to look after in my job, she went into western to have a routine op done for toncilitis, and ended up coming back to me with "C-Dif" at one stage it was very touch and go whether she would die from it - luckily pulled through after a very long six weeks, but sadly died the following year!! I have nothing good to say about this place, the cleanliness was absolutely disgusting the ward where my charge was put had dried in blood stains on the floor and walls, and there was even chewing gum actually dried in and stuck on her bedside cabinet - i always thought a hospital was suspose to be clean - but obviously not in the case of Weston!!!

It's absolutely disgusting, the place should be condemned. I was beside myself when the doctor told me that if the bleeding didn't stop, that's where I had to go. They sent me up to Bristol to be looked after thank goodness, I dread to think what would have happened if I'd been hospitalised at Weston :(

This is where my Grandfather was hospitalised a couple of weeks ago. He was in there for 2 nights. Arrived on Saturday night at approx 10pm. Mum and my Grandmother went in the following day as they couldn't cope with his Alzheimers! He was pacing the ward so they requested someone come in to 'calm him down!!' When they left at 3pm on the Sunday afternoon, they did so with the knowledge that he was now under the care of a one to one male nurse who came and introduced himself to them all and explained that when they left, he would bath my Grandfather and then they'd have a cup of tea and watch the tv. Well when he came home the next day, my Grandmother helped him undress to bath him and he was still wearing the same underwear (soiled) from the Saturday night. I just can't begin to explain how disgusted I am by this :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

 She is just round the corner from our old house on Clovens Road - used to walk up Brymers Ave to get to Tophill for the Disco in the youth club - Did you know Mr Morgan & his horses? Our paths may of crossed :o
100s of questions :o Has your Aunt lived there all her life? If she has she most probably knows my Dad's family

In his painting - the allotments at the front are now Brackenbury School - Our family still has a cottage just to the side of the school. (and a plot of land with no access :rotfl:which my sister had grand ideas of turning it into a camp site for the Olympics this year...)

Mum's side is Weymouth & I have a cousin in Wyke Regis.

Yes was 'dragged' there between age 15 - 18 :rotfl: but when I settled down we returned regularly & still do :)

Yes she was born in Weymouth, I'll have to ask her when I see her. My favourite place on Portland is the pirates graveyard, don't know if thats what everyone else calls it but thats what we do. Used to scare the poop out of me when I was little and I used to go there with my nan, but its really lovely up there. They've changed Weymouth heaps for the olympics, last time I went down I got lost with all the new bits of road:o:o
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

  • ...or this year's?

I stayed in Langley Green for a wee while back in the mid eighties.
There were quite a few of us exiled Jocks there, back then!
Yep, Crawley are doing it again this year in the FA cup, nice away victory over Hull yesterday.

Langley Green eh, that's where Chico used to live. I believe he was in Langley Drive, were you neighbours I wonder??

I know this isn't usually the place to ask but you all seem to where to find a bargain. I need to find some hand stamps, the sort they use in a nightclub when you enter where the ink is instide the stamp.

My cousin arranges a charity gig every year in aid of the welsh air ambulance in memory of another relative who died in 2008, some of you may remember it being on the news in 2008
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2499905/Teenage-boy-dies-after-being-buried-by-two-tons-of-sand.html
He has raised over £20000 and this years gig is this friday but the person who usually provides the stamp can't get them this year, I have looked at vista print but to get them delivered in time they want £15 postage, can anyone suggest an!!!!ere else to get them from
a stamp in lidl from tomorrow
